Modern heap leach pads are large engineered structures, lined with an impermeable layer of plastic(referred to as a geosynthetic membrane) and placed over a prepared surface that is typically a compacted soil layer. Ore is placed(heaped) on the lined pad and treated with chemicals to dissolve(leach) a metal of interest while protecting the environment. The plastic liner placed at the bottom and around the sides of the pad prevents chemicals from leaking into the soil and contaminating groundwater. The plastic utilized for these liners must be capable of withstanding the excessive weight of stacked ore, the continuous application of corrosive chemicals, and harsh weather conditions over the long term. 3, record 1, English, - heap%20leach%20pad

Un aspect important, dans un contexte de risques, de nombreuses mines métalliques, a trait à l'extraction de métal sur des aires de lixiviation en tas. Unlike soluble fibre, insoluble fibre does not dissolve in water. The main types of insoluble fibre include cellulose(primary material of plant cell walls), many hemicelluloses(cereal fibres), and lignins(non-polysaccharide). This is the best type of fibre for constipation, as it helps draw water into the stool to soften it and can help speed up transit time. Hydrodynamic trapping can occur in saline formations that do not have a closed trap, but where fluids migrate very slowly over long distances. When CO2 is injected into a formation, it displaces saline formation water and then migrates buoyantly upwards, because it is less dense than the water. When it reaches the top of the formation, it continues to migrate as a separate phase until it is trapped as residual CO2 saturation or in local structural or stratigraphic traps within the sealing formation. In the longer term, significant quantities of CO2 dissolve in the formation water and then migrate with the groundwater. 2, record 34, English, - hydrodynamic%20trapping

Une motion de censure est une proposition déposée par un député de l'opposition qui met en cause la responsabilité du gouvernement et la confiance que les députés lui accordent. Electrolytic polishing is a process in which metal from the object being treated is dissolved as a result of electric current. ... Calcium and Magnesium react with other chemicals in the water. The warm water acts as a catalyst and increases the number of reactions depending on the concentration of calcium and magnesium. The reaction which takes place is the dissociation of calcium hydrocarbonate, formula : Ca(HC03) and magnesium hydrocarbonate, formula : Mg(HC0[ susbcript 3]) 2. Both of these are soluble solids, which means they can dissolve when put in water. When these two soluble salts dissociate, they form carbon dioxide(a gas), which is released from the water, and calcium and magnesium carbonate. These two compounds are not soluble and are therefore taken out of solution. And it is these substances that cause the filmy, fuzzy crud on the glass of your aquarium when the water evaporates. 3, record 53, English, - magnesium%20bis%28hydrogencarbonate%29

First, the beets are cleaned in a beet washer. Then, a machine called a slicer is used to cut the beets into long strips that look like shoestring potatoes or noodles. The beet noodles are sent through a machine called a diffuser or extractor. Hot water is mixed with the beets to dissolve and remove the sugar from the beet noodles. The water and sugar juice are saved, and this solution is called "raw juice. "... The raw juice is treated with lime and carbon dioxide gas to clean the mixture again. It is sent through a big, round filter to clean it and remove other non-sugars. The raw juice goes into a series of big tanks called evaporators where some of the water is boiled off. At this point, the mixture contains more sugar than water. It is a thick-like syrup and is again filtered to make sure it is very clean. 3, record 59, English, - raw%20juice

The purpose of the lagoons is to prevent the accidental discharge of H2S to Lake Huron. Aeration of the liquid in the lagoons provides the oxygen that oxidizes the H2S to elemental sulfur. Learner-centred design takes the perspective that the user is an active participant who is trying to perform a given task without necessarily having a full understanding of how the system works. PETG, glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate, is a copolyester that is a clear amorphous thermoplastic. PETG sheet has high stiffness, hardness, and toughness as well as good impact strength. Unstressed PETG exhibits good resistance to dilute aqueous solutions of mineral acids, bases, salts, and soaps. PETG also has good resistance to aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, and a variety of oils. Halogenated hydrocarbons, low molecular weight ketones, and aromatic hydrocarbons dissolve or swell this plastic. PETG does not contain a UV inhibitor and it is not suggested for use in applications involving continuous long-term outdoor exposure. 6, record 73, English, - poly%28ethylene%20terephthalate%29%20glycol

Molds are made when organisms are totally or partially buried in mud that hardens into rocks. Over time ground water may dissolve the organisms, leaving cavities shaped like their bodies.... If a mold was later filled with mud or mineral material, the hardened filling is called a cast. It is a reproduction that has the same outer shape as the organism. A cast looks like the organism itself, not like its imprint. Paleontologists make casts of fossil molds by filling them with liquids, such as plaster, that harden. 3, record 74, English, - fossil%20cast

3, record 78, French, - acidification

If you see a chemical compound with the "ol" as a suffix its an alcohol. You can have a low molecular weight alcohol like methanol (CH3OH) or a high molecular weight alcohol like glycerol (CH2OH·CHOH·CH2OH). What they all have in common is what chemists call a functional group - in this case it’s the OH group - called a hydroxyl group. The number of hydroxyl groups determine whether it’s an alcohol or a polyol (containing more than one hydroxyl groups). The most common ones are what chemists call the lower alcohols. In order of increasing molecular weight they are: - Methanol. ... Ethanol. ... Pure, (undenatured) alcohol .... SDA [which] is the most important commercial from of ethanol. ... Kraton G series 1657 rubber is used as an additive to low molecular weight resins such as Regalrez 1094. When using Kraton rubber always be sure to use Tinuvin 292. The rubber improves the flexibility of a final varnish, improves scratch resistance and increases the varnishes viscosity which yields a better feeling varnish when applying by brush(low molecular weight resins tend to feel very thin). Kraton G 1657 can be added in the range of 1-3% by weight of resin. One helpful hint, Kraton rubber does not dissolve well in low aromatic solvents, try pre-dissolving the Kraton rubber in a small amount of high aromatic solvent such as xylene. 3, record 92, English, - high%20aromatic%20solvent
