A condition characterized by severe neuralgic pain originating in the distal end of the sole, usually beyond the necks of the third and the fourth metatarsal bones, and referred to the corresponding two toes. The pain is caused by the development of a neuroma in a digital nerve just proximal to its point of bifurcation. It occurs soon after walking on hard surfaces and is relieved by rest with the shoe removed. 2, record 1, English, - Morton%26rsquo%3Bs%20metatarsalgia

1, record 1, French, - m%C3%A9tatarsalgie%20de%20Morton

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The distal shoe space maintainer is a fixed appliance used when a second primary molar is lost or extracted before the first permanent molar erupts. This very premature loss leaves no tooth for the wire arm of a band and loop maintainer to touch. Therefore, the guiding plane of the metal arm is instead inserted under the gum against the unerupted first permanent molar. 5, record 2, English, - distal%20shoe%20space%20maintainer
