CONT

Distal Tip Staggered Eye Design... Regu-Vac side eyes are positioned so that, should the distal tip and first side eye become occluded, the second side eye will continue suctioning.

CONT

Catheters such as guide catheters can include a reinforcing braid layer without requiring the braid heat treatments commonly used to prevent braid wire flare up. Guide catheters can include distal tips such as atraumatic distal tips in which the reinforcing braid layer does not extend into the distal tip.

CONT

English

Subject field(s)
  • Orthodontics
CONT

The Distal Jet is an extremely effective appliance used to distalize upper molars. The unique design uses the force from Nitinol coil springs to exert distalizing forces to the molars. The amount of force is controlled by the clinician which reduces the tendency to tip the crown. The system therefore moves the crown and root more evenly.

Subject field(s)
  • Medical Instruments and Devices
CONT

Ultrathane(R) Ring-Mclean Sump Drainage sets [are] used to drain abscesses. The sump catheter may be introduced either by a direct puncture utilizing the trocar needle or by the Seldinger technique. A second lumen allows air to pass to the distal tip of the catheter resulting in free flow of the fluid and reduction of negative pressure. A syringe can be attached to the side-arm fitting to flush the second lumen.

OBS

Modern sump drains often have three lumina. One lumen allows for drainage of fluid, the second allows filtered air to be sucked into the drainage bed to provide pressure for drainage, and the third is used to irrigate the wound bed.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Instruments et appareillages médicaux
OBS
