Combat service support command relationship used when the nature of the operation makes a complete transfer of administrative command impossible or uneconomical because of time, distance, or resources. The function(s) not transferred will be stated(eg, "personnel administration"). The gaining commander has full authority and responsibility for all other service support activities. Exclusion of a function does not preclude the gaining unit or formation from providing advice or, in an emergency, support in the excluded activity. Otherwise the parent unit or formation must provide support in the area of the excluded function. 2, record 1, English, - under%20command%20for%20administration%20less%2E%2E%2E

Telephotometers and transmissometers measure the transmissivity or, alternatively, the extinction coefficient of the atmosphere. In evaluating the performance of an antenna as a radiating system one considers only the field at a large distance, where the induction field can be neglected. The antenna is then treated as an effective point source, radiating power that, per unit solid angle, is a function of direction only. The directive properties of an antenna are most conveniently expressed in terms of the "gain function"... The gain function is defined as the ratio of the power radiated in a given direction per unit solid angle to the average power radiated per unit solid angle... The maximum value of the gain function is called the "gain"... The gain of an antenna is the greatest factor by which the power transmitted in a given direction can be increased by using that antenna instead of an isotropic radiator. 2, record 12, English, - gain%20function

The usual description of the scattering of radiation is based on the assumption of scattering by individual particles. However, this concept breaks down if the medium becomes ’continuous’, that is if the distance between the scattering particles becomes less than the wavelength of the radiation(analogous to the specular reflection from a surface). The usual effects of scattering(i. e. spatial redistribution of radiation) disappear in this case as the scattering phase function becomes sharply peaked into the forward direction. Density gradients of the medium will then result in a quasi-refraction effect(the refraction of light in the earth's atmosphere is likely to be of this type). 3, record 24, English, - sharply%20peaked

Notice in the drawing routines, especially the arc routines, that familiarity with how the arc routine works is important. In the first arc statement, the command arc is executed and the first point is entered. The center option is chosen before the second point is entered. At this point, you should be able to decipher what is happening in the first nine statements of this function. Next, the arc number value is initialized and set. This value counts how many times you run through this routine. Each time you run through the routine, you create one first arc. The next statement calculates the arc length by calculating the distance between the start and end points of the first arc. Now that you have the arc number and the length of the arcs, you can calculate the overall length of the insulation. Notice the last statement of the routine. That is precisely what happens. In the while loop, the variable total is compared to the wall length. If the total variable is less than the wall length variable, the routine will be run again. Otherwise, the routine is ended. 2, record 27, English, - arc%20routine

The system is based on a special landing gear called a jump strut, which works by giving the aircraft the proper attitude for take-off,.... First, the system extends the nose gear, raising the nose. A few milliseconds later, the main gear is activated(’jumps’) in its turn, increasing the distance between wheels and fuselage, while rotation continues. After a vertical leap of some 6ft, the aircraft slows and descends slightly because of the increased drag at the higher angle of attack. Finally, and virtually without a pause, the aircraft resumes its climb.... The jump strut is extended under pilot control by a nitrogen-charged actuator. Once fired, it is immediately vented to atmosphere to enable the gear to resume its normal shock-attenuating function should the take-off run have to be aborted. 1, record 39, English, - jump%20strut

an optical fiber of circular cross section whose refractive index and other material parameters are independent of the angular displacement of the central angle and the longitudinal coordinate, although the parameters are a function of the distance from the center. i. e., the transmission media parameters are the same in all radial directions at any cross section. 1, record 43, English, - circularly%20symmetric%20fiber

The British device is described officially as a Laser True Airspeed System(LATAS) ;it might be more accurate to call it a "potential" or "future" airspeed measuring system, since its function is to advise the pilot what his airspeed will be when he traverses a zone located a short distance ahead of his current position at any given moment. Normally this distance is in the 500-600 m range, far enough ahead at normal approach speeds of 360-450 km/h(200-250kn) to give the pilot some four to six seconds warning to recognize an impending change in true airspeed [due to turbulence] and to take any necessary corrective action. 1, record 44, English, - Laser%20True%20Airspeed%20System

1, record 44, French, - syst%C3%A8me%20laser%20de%20mesure%20de%20la%20vitesse%20propre
