Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Higher-speed roads include motorways, expressways and multi-lane, divided highways with limited access. They are designed to allow for higher speeds by providing large-radius horizontal and vertical curves, "forgiving" roadsides, entry and exit "grade-separated" junctions-where there is no contact between motorized and non-motorized traffic-and median barriers to separate opposing directions of traffic. Such roads have the lowest rates of road injury in terms of distance travelled because of these design features and the fact that non-motorized users are prohibited. 3, record 3, English, - high%2Dspeed%20road

2, record 3, French, - route%20%C3%A0%20grande%20vitesse

[The field effect is] an experimentally observable effect(on reaction rates, etc.) of intramolecular coulombic interaction between the centre of interest and a remote pole or dipole, by direct action through space rather than through bonds. The magnitude of the field effect(or direct effect) is dependent on the intensity, orientation, and shortest distance between the centre of interest and the remote pole or dipole. The airline's first tests were to determine the practicability of detecting water ingress in honeycomb structure.... Different materials stabilise in temperature at different rates, and a considerable thermal difference results between water and composite. In initial tests with pieces of ice embedded in honeycomb panels, the airline found that it could detect 2 cm³ of water in a hole of 25 mm diameter from a distance of 3 mm, 90 min after the panels had been exposed to 36°C below ambient temperature. 1, record 14, English, - honeycomb%20panel
