Planimetric control. Segmentation is sometimes a ground step for correlation which approximates regions by plans, thus we have studied a way to control in 2D the planimetric differences between a reference and a segmentation outline. Various distances have been used for this purpose : Haussdorf distance from segmentation boundaries to reference ones seem to be the most appropriate. A recovering surface quality estimator has been tried and we have computed the ratio between intersection and union with respect to the both areas. This method will be used on many test sites. 1, record 3, English, - planimetric%20control

1, record 3, French, - contr%C3%B4le%20planim%C3%A9trique

Video produced in 1986 by the National Film Board. Part of The Next Step, a series of three films that examines the services needed by and those available to battered women. Moving On looks at the problem of wife assault in London, Ontario where a coordinated effort by women's groups, transition house staff, social services agencies, police, lawyers and doctors have resulted in effective and innovative programs. The London Battered Women's Advocacy Clinic and Changing Ways, a therapy program for men who batter, are also part of the city's effort to break the cycle of violence.(A Safe Distance and Sylvie's Story are the other films in this series.) 1, record 8, English, - Moving%20On

To maintain this converged condition of the beams as they swing away from the center, it is also necessary to vary their relative angles slightly. This process of changing the beam angle so that it will be in step with the scanning is referred to as dynamic convergence. It is required because the distance traveled by the beams increases as they swing away from the center of the screen. 3, record 9, English, - dynamic%20convergence
