This insect, common in Great-Britain and Canada’s West Coast, is an omnivorous scavenger of cereal screenings, dust, etc. Occasionally it is a major pest of bulk wheat, bagged flour and a variety of stored commodities. In the home it is much more important as a clothes moth than as a pest of stored foods. 1, record 1, English, - brown%20house%20moth
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The adults vary in size with the male having a wing-spread of about 2 centimetres, while the female may at times exceed 2. 5 centimetres. The forewings are dark brown with a number of blackish-brown spots. Approximately 300 eggs are laid by each female, most of them within a few days of mating. Three times as many eggs are laid on sacking as on grain. The mature larva is about 2 centimetres in length, shiny white in colour, with a yellow head. The feeding larva spins a light, closely-woven tube of silk as it eats its way through a food mass. When temperatures are too low, many of the larvae become dormant rather than pupate, extending the larval stage. High relative humidity is a requirement for satisfactory larval growth. At summer temperatures and a relative humidity of approximately 90% the life cycle takes about 100 days. 1, record 1, English, - brown%20house%20moth

1, record 1, French, - %26oelig%3Bcophore%20bronz%C3%A9e
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
1, record 1, French, - %26oelig%3Bcophore%20bronz%C3%A9e

This moth, common in Great Britain and Canada’s West Coast, is often found in combination with the brown house moth. It is usually considered to be more of a stored product pest and less of a scavenger than the latter. The worst infestations occur in grain, cereals, and stored seeds such as peas and beans. 1, record 2, English, - white%2Dshouldered%20house%20moth
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The adult is easily recognized by its conspicuous white head and thorax. The forewings are greyish-white with darker areas. The males have a wing-spread of about 1. 2 centimetres and the females about 2 centimetres. Most of the adults are females, each of which lays about 100 eggs. Like the brown house moth, the females vary in size and the larger females lay more eggs. The eggs, dull white in colour, are laid in cracks and crevices and often adhere together. The larva, which requires a relative humidity of at least 80% for development, is about 1. 2 centimetres in length and waxy-white in colour. The head and adjoining portion of the back of the adult are reddish-brown. This moth has no dormant stage and under summer conditions and 90% relative humidity, the life of this species takes about 62 days. 1, record 2, English, - white%2Dshouldered%20house%20moth

1, record 2, French, - %26oelig%3Bcophore%20%C3%A0%20%C3%A9paulettes

Intensive energy forestry is a form of highly mechanizable cultivation of genetically selected, fast-growing, coppicing woody plants grown with agricultural methods. The physical, chemical and biological conditions of the soil often need to be improved in order to ensure a reliable establishment and an intensive management, characterized by undisturbed physiological production processes and a better-than-normal development of the crop. After an optimal rotation length(3-10 years), the stand can be harvested in its dormant stage without damaging roots or stools. The ultimate goal is maximizing the sustained utilization of the site to highest profitability without causing any environmental hazard. 3, record 5, English, - energy%20forestry

Some viruses may remain dormant inside host cells for long periods, causing no obvious change in their host cells(a stage known as the lysogenic phase). But when a dormant virus is stimulated, it enters the lytic phase : new viruses are formed, [they] self-assemble, and burst out of the host cell, killing the cell and going on to infect other cells. When deciding the kinds of records which are suitable for deposit in a records centre, and the procedures by which they should be transferred there, it is worth considering a widely accepted theory that defines three stages in the life of papers produced by any organization : The first stage is that in which records are being used frequently in the course of the current activities of the organization which produced them. Records in this stage are often described as "current" or "active". The second stage is that in which records have ceased to be used frequently in the course of current activities, but nevertheless retain occasional administrative use. Records in this stage may be described as "non-current", "inactive" or "dormant". The third stage is that in which records no longer required for administrative use can be either destroyed or, if they have permanent value, passed to the Archives for permanent preservation. 2, record 8, English, - theory%20of%20the%20three%20stages

2, record 8, French, - th%C3%A9orie%20des%20trois%20%C3%A2ges
