hallucinogen dependence: In the DSM-5 (fifth edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders), the categories "hallucinogen abuse" and "hallucinogen dependence" have been replaced with the overarching category "other hallucinogen use disorder." drug use: The word "use" has been suggested to replace the word "abuse." In some contexts, it might be necessary to qualify it to distinguish between different types of use (for example, "harmful use," "hazardous use," "problematic use" or "risky use"). In this case and depending on the context, the reason for the chosen qualifiers should be explained, and the different designations clearly defined. Parmi les autres stupéfiants, couramment appelés drogues, on trouve des dérivés du chanvre indien (cannabis), de la cocaïne et de l'opium, auxquels s'ajoutent l'héroine et le LSD. Cette dernière est évaluée d'après les lésions de nécrose et d'inflammation, mais elle n'a pas de valeur pronostique. The English term "drug" has a less restrictive meaning than its French cognate "drogue". In English it not only conveys the meaning of any substance, whether legally available or not, which causes addiction, but also that of any substance intended for use in the treatment of a disease with or without a prescription. In French the primary meaning is that of an illicit substance, despite a more generic use found in legal contexts(Food and Drugs Act=Loi des aliments et drogues). Intrinsically more specific, the French favor the use of "produit pharmaceutique" and "médicament", as well as derivatives thereof, e. g. "pharmacodépendance, toxicomanie, etc. Consequently, in the case of "pathological drug intoxication", the use of "drogue"(i. e. substance that causes addiction) is not entirely inappropriate. 2, record 37, English, - pathological%20drug%20intoxication
