A high-level ethanol blended alternative fuel.

OBS

In Canada, E-85 ethanol blended fuel(a mixture of ethanol and gasoline) is manufactured and available in a range of concentrations from 65 per cent for cold climates(winter) up to 85 per cent ethanol content for warmer climates(summer). Only flex-fuel vehicles(equipped with an engine and fuel system that are compatible with E-85 fuel) can operate on this fuel, although they can also operate on gasoline or any combination of these two fuels. An E-85 identifier is usually located inside the fuel-filler door.

Au Canada, le carburant à l'éthanol E-85 (un mélange d'essence et d'éthanol) est fabriqué et disponible en diverses concentrations d'éthanol allant de 65 p. 100 pour les climats plus froids (hiver) à 85 p. 100 pour les climats plus chauds (été). Seuls les véhicules polycarburants (équipés d'un moteur et d'un système d'alimentation compatibles avec l'éthanol E-85) peuvent utiliser ce carburant, bien qu'ils puissent également utiliser de l'essence ou toute combinaison de ces deux carburants. Un identificateur E-85 se trouve habituellement à l'intérieur du battant couvrant le bouchon d'essence.
