Multiple priorities may be claimed in respect of one patent application not withstanding the fact that the priorities are based on patent applications filed in different countries and may be claimed for any one claim in a patent application but, where multiple priorities are claimed, the time limit set out in subsection(1) shall run from the earliest date of priority.

Some of the simplest, earliest robots used in pick-and-place applications have four or fewer DOF and a controller that moves the arm to a predetermined limit at full speed and then stops. This type of open-loop controller is often called a bang-bang system because the motor drives at full speed to the stops with a "bang".
