The water spent for the evapotranspiration is not supplied limitless, and evapotranspiration is controlled by available water. The dry condition as a result of suppressed evapotranspiration increases the potential evapotranspiration, and it influences the water usage, environment in the region. Bouchet (1963) found the complementary relationship between actual and potential evapotranspiration, and Morton (1983) formulated the relationship as follows: Eac=2xEw-|Ep where Eac and Ep are the actual and potential evapotranspiration, and Ew is the wet environmental evapotranspiration. 2, record 1, English, - Bouchet%20formula
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 OBS
In another approach to macroscale formulation, Bouchet(1963) considered regional evaporation under conditions of a fixed energy budget and suggested that the actual evaporation and the apparent potential evaporation based on actual atmospheric conditions would be complementary to one another. Morton(1965, 1975) and Brutsaert and Stricker(1979) have applied this concept to the estimation of regional evapotranspiration. 3, record 1, English, - Bouchet%20formula

2, record 1, French, - formule%20de%20Bouchet
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS

2, record 9, French, - bilan%20%C3%A9nerg%C3%A9tique

A portion of the sunlight that reaches Earth is absorbed into the system, while some of the light is reflected by our planet back into space.

CERES products include both solar-reflected and Earth-emitted radiation from the top of the atmosphere to the Earth's surface. Cloud properties are determined using simultaneous measurements by other EOS instruments such as the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS). Analyses of the CERES data, which build upon the foundation laid by previous missions such as the Earth Radiation Budget Experiment(ERBE), will lead to a better understanding of the role of clouds and the energy cycle in global climate change. 3, record 21, English, - Clouds%20and%20Earth%26rsquo%3Bs%20Radiant%20Energy%20System

Methods of measuring evapotranspiration generally are divided into two categories : water budgeting and energy budgeting. The former method relies on accurate accounting of water flow into and out of a control area.... Energy budget methods rely on an accurate accounting of energy to and from the land surface and generally assume one-dimensional energy flow. Because the energy needed to evaporate water is relatively large(about 580 calories per gram), ET, or latent heat, can represent a significant component of the energy budget. Net radiation is the difference between incoming shortwave(solar) radiation and outgoing shortwave and longwave radiation, sensible heat is the energy transported from the land surface by air movement(convection), latent heat is the energy transported away from the surface by evaporating water, and soil/water heat is the heat that goes into changing the temperature of the soil or the water standing on the land surface. Any of these components may reverse in direction-for example, latent heat is added to the surface by condensation(dew formation), and net radiation is directed upward at night. 1, record 23, English, - energy%20budget%20method

3, record 32, French, - rejet%20de%20gaz%20carbonique
