Graves’ eye disease happens when swelling around the eyes makes them bulge out. It’s caused by Graves’ disease, and it’s also called GED, Graves’ ophthalmopathy, or thyroid eye disease (TED). 10, record 1, English, - thyroid%20eye%20disease
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disorder in which hyperthyroidism results in various systematic symptoms, with about 30% of patients presenting with Graves’ eye disease(GED). The majority of patients with GED develop mild symptoms, including eyelid retraction, exposure of the globe, superior rectus–levator muscle complex inflammation, and fat expansion, leading to exophthalmos. More severe cases can result in extraocular muscle enlargement, restricted ocular movement, eyelid and conjunctival edema, and compression of the optic nerve leading to compressive optic neuropathy(CON). 11, record 1, English, - thyroid%20eye%20disease

Diabetic macular ischemia(DMI) is a common problem for patients with diabetic retinopathy that can lead to sight loss.... DMI is linked to damage in the vessels that supply blood to the retina—specifically in layers known as the superficial vascular complex, deep vascular complex and choriocapillaris... These layers supply oxygen to the macula, which is the central part of the retina responsible for sharp, high-quality vision... Reduced retinal blood flow and vessel density have been associated with photoreceptor disruption and subsequent vision loss... In addition, DMI is characterised by the enlargement of the foveal avascular zone(FAZ), which in turn is linked to vision loss... 1, record 2, English, - diabetic%20macular%20ischemia

... the big bang does not fit all astronomers’ observations. The distribution of matter across space is too uniform to have come from the Big Bang as originally conceived. As a result, vacancy rates in the Greater Paris Area reached an all-time low of 3.8 %, versus 5 % in 1997. Within the Paris city limits, the vacancy rate in 2001 was 4.6 %, compared with more than 7 % in 1997. Given the statistics, the relevance of certain technical measures now in the offing - such as the requisition of vacant housing, which has never been at lower levels, and changes in indexation criteria despite the fact that the ICC is not pegged to inflation over long periods - is a legitimate concern. 2, record 18, English, - vacant%20houses%20requisition

Losartan is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Losartan is also used to decrease the risk of stroke in people who have high blood pressure and a heart condition called left ventricular hypertrophy(enlargement of the walls of the left side of the heart).... This medication is also used to treat kidney disease in people who have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. Losartan is in a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It works by blocking the action of certain natural substances that tighten the blood vessels, allowing the blood to flow smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently. 1, record 54, English, - losartan

Some confusion exists regarding the terms carpitis and osselets; therefore, a definition is appropriate. Carpitis is an acute or chronic inflammation of the carpal joint that may involve the fibrous joint capsule, synovial membrane, associated ligaments, and bones of the carpus ... Osselets has been defined as a traumatic arthritis of the metacarpophalangeal joint. It is more appropriate to restrict the term osselets to describe the thickening associated with synovitis and capsulitis of the fibrous joint capsule at the dorsal aspect of the metacarpophalangeal joint.
