CONT

Color printing filters. These are types of color compensating filters made of acetate instead of glass or gelatin. They are used in the filter drawer of the enlarger, not under the lens.

CONT

It is desirable for the enlarger to have provision for placing the filter pack between the lamp and the negative. Color printing(CP) filters(acetate) are recommended for use in this position. If the filters are placed at the lens, color compensating(CC) filters(gelatin) are recommended.

Subject field(s)

DEF

A lens designed for use on a projection printer [enlarger]. Typically, aberrations are minimized for relatively small object distances, the lens is mounted in a barrel without a shutter, and the diaphragm is equipped with click stops.

CONT

Below the lamphouse lies the negative carrier, which holds the individual negatives flat, and an enlarging lens. Moving the lens toward or away from the negative brings the image into focus, at each size of enlargement.

French

CONT
