Why might you be ordered to appear at an immigration admissibility hearing? Under Canada's immigration law, if the CBSA [Canada Border Services Agency] has reason to believe that you should not enter or remain in Canada, you may be ordered to appear at an immigration admissibility hearing before the Immigration Division of the IRB [Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada]. The corporation's affiliation, central to the natural synergy of transportation and trade, was initiated in 1996 by way of an inter-provincial conference. Conference proceedings led to a 1997 federal transportation and trade potential. One of the study'stop recommendations was to implement a self-systaining organization to promote Canadian trade through this very capable route and from AsiaPacific markets. The study went on to say that greater awareness of the trade benefits for Canada by using both the north and south Western Canada Transportation Corridors must be undertaken as we enter the global millennium. Tenth and last province to enter the Canadian Confederation on March 23, 1949; its territory comprises an insular portion, the Island of Newfoundland, and a continental one, Labrador, attached to the province of Quebec. With the royal assent of December 6, 2001, officially amending the Constitution of Canada and making effective the law previously adopted by the House of Commons, the name of the province was changed from "Newfoundland"(abbreviation :"Nfld. The name of a province and its form, spelling and abbreviation are to be decided by the provincial toponymy authority, with the agreement of the Government of Canada. One uses "province of Newfoundland and Labrador" for the geographical entity, "Province of Newfoundland and Labrador" for the provincial administration, "Newfoundland and Labrador" as the short form, and "N.L." as the abbreviation. Note the absence of hyphenation and the abbreviation without a space between the two elements abbreviated by their initial letter with a period, as the rule requires in English. When used alone, "Labrador" is abbreviated by "Lab.". The new designation "Newfoundland and Labrador" remains singular because the entity is still a unit. 3, record 40, English, - Newfoundland%20and%20Labrador

... the TSB [Transportation Safety Board of Canada] analyzed specifically the aircraft steering system, while not ignoring the other factors mentioned above, although no indication was found that they could have contributed to the occurrence. To steer the aircraft on the ground, the pilot in the left seat uses the nose-gear steering wheel on the console to the pilot's left. During take-off and landing, directional control of the aircraft is maintained solely by the rudder. The aircraft's ground steering system comprises several components, including the nose-gear steering wheel, a system of cables and pulleys, and a steering control valve fitted to a nose-wheel steering cylinder, which is attached to the nose-wheel strut. The cable and pulley system links the steering wheel to the control valve. When the pilot turns the steering wheel to the left or right, tension is applied to the cables connected to the pulley on the steering control valve. This action determines the direction and the deflection rate of the nose wheel by allowing hydraulic fluid to enter one side or the other side of the nose-wheel steering cylinder; the steering cylinder then deflects the nose wheel through a system of gears. 3, record 41, English, - aircraft%20steering%20system

The program resulted from the review of the Railway Safety Act held between 1994 and 1999, which recognized that closing passive railway crossings in Canada(those that do not have automated warning systems) would help improve the safety of the rail system. As a result, the act was amended in 1999, giving the Minister of Transport the authority to enter into agreements with parties possessing the rights to use such crossings so that the crossings could be closed. 1, record 49, English, - Grade%20Crossing%20Closure%20Program

1, record 49, French, - Programme%20de%20fermeture%20de%20passages%20%C3%A0%20niveau

Before the Government of Canada can enter into any international agreement, certain necessary policy approval and legal authorization must be sought and obtained.... The first step, to secure policy approval, normally takes the form of a Memorandum to Cabinet, signed by the minister or ministers having substantive responsibility for the subject matter of the proposed agreement, recommending its conclusion. The Secretary of State for External Affairs should either join in signing the Memorandum to the Cabinet, or concur in the recommendations. Where Cabinet has previously decided on the general policy guidelines to govern Canadian participation in international arrangements to be embodied in an international agreement and has approved a draft version of the agreement, a second Memorandum to Cabinet is not usually required if the only changes to the draft agreement in the interim are minor, when it is usually sufficient to obtain the agreement of the ministers most directly concerned. 4, record 51, English, - draft%20agreement

Environment Canada(EC) has developed a product called Automated Real Property Management System(ARMS) to collect operational data relating to its identified significant environmental aspects. Using the Web-based system, regions access site-specific pages through which they enter totals for annual energy consumption, waste generation and other environmental aspects. Regions can access data for facilities within their own Region while at headquarters, the system "rolls-up" data received from the Regions and generates a variety of reports to facilitate analysis of the results. 1, record 52, English, - Automated%20Real%20Property%20Management%20System

1, record 100, French, - CANPASS%20%2D%20A%C3%A9ronefs%20priv%C3%A9s
