Perhaps the most widely recognized of all disorders affecting racehorses is "bleeding," or exercise-induced pulmonary hemorrhage (EIPH). We now know that most racehorses bleed at some time during their careers. In fact, many horses might bleed every time they undertake intense exercise, such as breezing and racing. We also know that bleeding can occur in situations other than flat racing. For example, EIPH has been detected in three-day eventers, steeplechasers, and polo ponies, among others. Bleeding has even been observed in draft horses pulling heavy loads. The common denominator is strenuous exercise. 2, record 1, English, - exercise%2Dinduced%20pulmonary%20hemorrhage

A soft rubber artificial airway inserted through the nose into the pharynx. 1, record 4, English, - nasopharyngeal%20tube
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Also known as trumpets, nasopharyngeal airways are inserted through one nostril to create an air passage between the nose and the nasopharynx. The NPA is preferred to the OPA in conscious patients because it is better tolerated and less likely to induce a gag reflex.... While nasopharyngeal airways are better tolerated than oropharyngeal airways in awake or lightly anesthetized patients, they are contraindicated in patients who are anticoagulated, patients with basilar skull fractures, patients with nasal infections and deformities as well as in children(because of risk of epistaxis). 3, record 4, English, - nasopharyngeal%20tube

5, record 4, French, - sonde%20nasopharyng%C3%A9e
