Air masses are classified as equatorial if they develop near the equator, tropical if they originate in the low latitudes, and polar if they originate in the high latitudes. Equatorial air masses are warm and very moist, tropical air masses are warm, and polar air masses are... well, cold. 5, record 1, English, - equatorial%20air%20mass

Equatorial(E) air masses, [hot and extremely humid], rarely visit the contiguous United States and almost never reach Canada, but these air masses are important weather factors for the southern nations of North America : southern Mexico, Central America and many of the Atlantic island nations. 2, record 1, English, - equatorial%20air%20mass

Air Force Satellite Communications(AFSATCOM) payloads are hosted by other communications satellites, a national system for polar coverage and the DSCS III satellites for midlatitude coverage. Package D and the older Satellite Data Systems ultrahigh frequency(UHF) payloads provide 24-hour coverage of the polar regions. These payloads augment FLTSATCOM coverage at equatorial latitudes and provide polar UHF coverage to support the Single Integrated Operational Plan Aerospace supported preparations for transition of operations on polar packages from UHF to EHF. 4, record 2, English, - Air%20force%20satellite%20communications%20system

Extensive region of the Earth’s surface characterized by essentially uniform surface conditions and so placed with respect to the general atmospheric circulation that an air mass may remain in contact with it long enough to acquire its own characteristic properties. 6, record 3, English, - source%20region
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
... air masses are classified according to the characteristics of their source region or area of formation. A source region can have one of four temperature attributes :equatorial, tropical, polar or arctic. Air masses are also classified as being either continental or maritime in terms of moisture characteristics. Combining these two categories, several possibilities are commonly found associated with North America : maritime polar(mP), continental polar(cP), maritime tropical(mT), continental tropical(cT), and continental arctic(A). 7, record 3, English, - source%20region

The world's biggest Low is caused by hot air rising near the equator(it is called the Equatorial Low). Its position moves north and south during the year as it follows the movement of the overhead sun and the latitude of greatest heating. The Equatorial Low is the heat ’engine’ that powers the entire global circulation. Cloud and rain are produced by rising air, making the Equatorial Low also the world's main rain-producing area and the place of the great tropical rainforests. 2, record 5, English, - equatorial%20low

2, record 5, French, - basse%20pression%20%C3%A9quatoriale
