Aspect. The placement of a projection system relative to the Earth's axis. A polar aspect is tangent at the pole, an equatorial aspect is tangent at the Equator, and an oblique aspect is tangent anywhere else. 1, record 1, English, - polar%20aspect

In relative motion with respect to the Earth, the rate of change of the circulation(dC/dt) along a closed curve consisting always of the same fluid particles is equal to the number of isobaric-isosteric solenoids(N) enclosed by the curve, minus the product of twice the angular velocity of the Earth([omega]) and the rate of variation of the area(d[ sigma]/dt) defined by the projection of the curve on the equatorial plane : dC/dt=N-2[ omega] d[ sigma]/dt. 2, record 2, English, - circulation%20theorem%20of%20Bjerknes

A conformal map projection of the cylindrical type. The equator is represented by a straight line true to scale; the geographic meridians are represented by parallel straight lines perpendicular to the line representing the equator; they are spaced according to their distance apart at the equator. The geographic parallels are represented by a second system of straight lines perpendicular to the family of lines representing the meridians .... Conformality is achieved by mathematical analysis, the spacing of the parallels being increased with increasing distance from the equator to conform with the expending scale along the parallels resulting from the meridians being represented by parallel lines. 1, record 4, English, - Mercator%20projection
