2, record 4, French, - %C3%A9quilibre%20r%C3%A9fl%C3%A9chi

The most basic mathematical description of drug distribution and elimination is the one-compartment model.... One-compartment models utilize a single central compartment and assume that equilibrium is rapidly/instantaneously achieved with tissues. Although the drug in the body, as a single "compartment, "cannot be measured, an assumption is made that the changes in blood(or other sampling compartment) reflect a proportional change in tissue drug concentrations. A Bayesian Schaefer surplus production model was used owing to an insufficient time series of age-structured data and lack of information on fishery vulnerability at size or age in the fisheries. It was fitted to one fishery dependent and six fishery independent stock biomass trend indices, and a reconstructed catch history back to 1935 when the population was assumed to be near to an unfished equilibrium. Some of the catch histories data were imputed from limited data. Informative Bayesian priors were used when estimating the survey proportionality constants, based in part on interviews with experienced fishermen. 1, record 14, English, - Bayesian%20Schaefer%20surplus%20production%20model

It was established by Lord Kelvin that the vapour pressure over the surface of a water drop in equilibrium with its surroundings is greater that over a plane water surface. This vapour pressure difference is inversely proportional to the radius of the drop. The vapour pressure over a drop is then greater than the saturation vapour pressure for the liquid concerned, since the saturation vapour pressure is defined as that over a plane surface. 3, record 17, English, - plane%20water%20surface

It is true of liquids in general that the lower the pressure on them the lower the boiling temperature and the lower the heat contained in the "saturated" liquid. Thus high-temperature liquids when passed from a region of pressure sufficient for stability into a low-pressure region are not able to contain all the heat originally possessed as heat of fluid, and will be spontaneously partially evaporated by the surplus. This violent readjustment to thermal equilibrium is called "flashing"... 8, record 69, English, - flashing

The octanol-water partition coefficient is the ratio of the concentration of a chemical in octanol and in water at equilibrium and at a specified temperature. Octanol is an organic solvent that is used as a surrogate for natural organic matter. This parameter is used in many environmental studies to help determine the fate of chemicals in the environment. An example would be using the coefficient to predict the extent a contaminant will bioaccumulate in fish. The octanol-water partition coefficient has been correlated to water solubility; therefore, the water solubility of a substance can be used to estimate its octanol-water partition coefficient. 11, record 84, English, - octanol%2Dwater%20partition%20coefficient

Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy(FCS) is one of the many different modes of high-resolution spatial and temporal analysis of extremely low concentrated biomolecules. In contrast to other fluorescence techniques, the parameter of primary interest is not the emission intensity itself, but rather spontaneous intensity fluctuations caused by the minute deviations of the small system from thermal equilibrium.... Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy has been developed in the early seventies as a special case of relaxation analysis. 2, record 85, English, - fluorescence%20correlation%20spectroscopy

Examples of general equilibrium analysis that have become widespread in recent years are econometric models and the body of techniques that have been labelled systems analysis. 3, record 98, French, - coin%20rocheux

Cognitive conflict is a good instructional technique because most of us learn from our mistakes.... If we try to do something and it fails, then we adjust our method the next time we try and see if that works. Each failure at an attempt to learn or do something is adapted by assimilation and accommodation in our cognition learning and we resolve conflicts based on our previous experience. This is ongoing and each attempt will hopefully let us attain equilibrium in the cognitive realm of learning. 2, record 100, English, - cognitive%20conflict
