Stratigraphic Description.-Stratification, or the layering sequence of the surficial materials, is another factor that will affect the erodibility of the bank. Two banks containing the same materials may have different erodibility characteristics depending on how erodible materials are stratified within the profile of the bank. Points of contact between different material layers are weak features. 3, record 1, English, - stratigraphic%20description

Lithography was originally invented as a method for printing in 1798 by Alois Senefelder, and has been a valuable method for reproducing artwork for centuries. From the Greek lithos (stone) and graphy (writing), lithography literally means writing on rocks. 5, record 1, English, - stratigraphic%20description

3, record 1, French, - description%20stratigraphique

Erodible/ablative paints consist of two components : the paint matrix and the biocide. Seawater movement against ships’ hull polishes off the matrix and the biocide leaches out. The leaching rate will not be constant, because the biocide is not even homogeneously dispersed in the paint matrix. Secondly, the solubility of paint matrix and of incorporated biocides may not be identical. 7, record 2, English, - ablative%20antifouling%20paint

3, record 4, French, - %C3%A9rodable
