Industry has adopted the term "tamper-evident" packaging, but there is no officially recognized definition for it. The United States Food and Drug Administration(FDA)... defines a "tamper-resistant" package as a package "having an indicator or barrier to entry which, if breached or missing, can reasonably be expected to provide visible evidence to consumers that tampering has occurred. "Common industry usage substitutes the term "tamper-evident" for the term "tamper-resistant".... The FDA has not objected to this substitution, nor has it made any official recognition of it as a synonymous term.... [It] seems likely that use of both terms will continue for some time. All practitioners and the FDA are agreed that the term "tamper-proof" is not appropriate and must not be used. 2, record 4, English, - tamper%2Devident%20packaging

2, record 4, French, - emballage%20inviolable

A contradiction in terms : a coin cannot be uncirculated and at the same time, show evidence of rubbing or wear. The expression is used by a few dealers and collectors to indicate that wear is slight, in an attempt to keep the coin in the BU or better realm; this usage ignores the fact that wear, however slight or imparted, removes a coin from uncirculated. 1, record 5, English, - BU%2C%20rub

Altering positional information with grafting experiments: A region called the zone of polarizing activity (ZPA) is the reference point for indicating the position of cells along the anterior-posterior axis of a vertebrate limb bud. The ZPA is located where the posterior margin of the bud is attached to the body. 1, record 6, English, - zone%20of%20polarizing%20activity

Control of the expression of AV-1 protein, a position-specific antigen, by ZPA(zone of polarizing activity) factor in the chick limb bud... Retinoic acid induces a pattern of digits in anterior half wing buds that lack the zone of polarizing activity... The positional signal localized to the posterior zone of polarizing activity or ZPG region of the vertebrate limb is transiently expressed during development and a decline in ZPA signaling is accelerated when posterior cells are dissociated and cultured in vitro. The evidence that cultured posterior cells display a precocious decline in ZPA signaling when compared to in vivo studies suggests that a factor present in the limb bud maintains or stabilizes ZPA signaling during limb outgrowth...
