Shaw’s field proven Yellow Jacket provides external protection for pipe used in the oil and gas and waterworks industries where moderate operating temperatures are attained and good handling capabilities are required. Yellow Jacket consists of a continuous sheath of high density polyethylene extruded over a rubberized asphalt adhesive. [Accompanied by an illustration.] 2, record 3, English, - yellow%20jacket

As a gas utility guy I can say that 3-layer poly is not a common coating for most distribution applications. It is more likely to be used where the need for extremely high reliability(such as offshore) or resistance to abrasion(such pulling pipe through a bore) warrants the high cost. The extruded polyethylene(also sometimes called yellow jacket) coating is common and is much less expensive, although also less reliable. 3, record 3, English, - yellow%20jacket

3, record 3, French, - chemise%20jaune

In-mould labeling(IML) is a relatively recent addition to the category of predecoration that is available for blow-molded plastic bottles.... The basic in-mold label system utilizes a paper label that has a heat-activated coating on the back side. The label is placed in the mold at the beginning of the blow-molding cycle before the mold closes around the parison.... The label is held in position by vacuum ports. When the parison of plastic is extruded and the molds close and air is injected to inflate the parison, the heat from the parison activates the label adhesive coating. During the mold-close cycle, the combination of the high inject air pressure and the cold-mold surface causes the adhesive to set and the label to adhere to the bottle surface in a heat-seal fashion. 2, record 5, English, - in%2Dmold%20labeling

Most geomembranes are made in a plant using one of the following manufacturing processes :(i) extrusion,(ii) spread coating, or(iii) calendering. Extrusion process is a method whereby a molten polymer, usually of the polyolefin family... is extruded into a non-reinforced sheet. Immediately after extrusion, when the sheet is still warm, it can be laminated with a fabric, through light calendering; the geomembrane thus produced is reinforced. 2, record 7, English, - extruded%20geomembrane
