Smart eyewear is defined as eyewear incorporating a near-to-eye display. As used herein, near-to-eye display means a display, device, or system, such as a retinal projector, virtual retinal display, visualization element, head-mounted display, heads-up display, or other near-to-eye system, typically worn on the head of a user that generates an image near the eye. In a smart eyewear configuration, a display device is often mounted adjacent to an edge of each of the wearer's eyes and an image is typically displayed in the center of each lens. The location of the displayed image, therefore, forces the wearer to gaze in a direction to view the image generated by the display. Typically positioned near the user's eye, the display is aligned to the central region of the user's field of view to allow review of the displayed information with little or no head movement. This enables the user to view the display while also viewing the area outside the central region and interacting with the surrounding environment. In another embodiment, the displayed image is aligned to a region other than the central region of the user's field of view. 5, record 3, English, - near%2Dto%2Deye%20display
Record number: 3, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Near-eye display devices are configured to present images to a user via a display that is positioned close to the user's eyes. For example, a head-mounted augmented reality display device may be worn on a user's head to position a near-eye display directly in front of a user's eyes. A near-eye display may be at least partially see-through to allow a user to view a real-world background in combination with displayed virtual objects. This may allow virtual objects to be displayed such that the virtual objects appear to exist within the real-world environment. 6, record 3, English, - near%2Dto%2Deye%20display

The technology provides one or more embodiments of a near-eye display (NED) device system. An embodiment of a NED device system comprises a near-eye display device including a near-eye support structure and a near-eye display (NED) supported by the near-eye support structure and having a display field of view. The NED system further comprises an image generation unit supported by the near-eye support structure which outputs image data which is optically coupled to the near-eye display (NED). 4, record 3, English, - near%2Dto%2Deye%20display

To maintain a stable perception of the world around us while we engage in normal movements throughout our day, such as walking, we have something known as the vestibulo-ocular reflex(VOR). This reflex keeps us steady and balanced even though our eyes and head are continuously moving when we perform most actions. When we make a head movement, our eye muscles are triggered instantly to create an eye movement opposite to that of our head movement at the exact same speed to readjust the visual world, which, in turn, stabilizes our retinal image by keeping the eye still in space and focused on an object, despite the head motion. 8, record 5, English, - vestibulo%2Docular%20reflex

The throat chakra is the 5th chakra and like its name, it is centered in the throat area of the body. The areas it governs are the throat, mouth, ears, thyroid gland, arms and hands. The fifth chakra rules our abilities for communication, creativity, connection and personal intentions. It is also connected with our ability to communicate through hearing, speaking, and listening. It refers to both normal audible communication and the emotional and mental communication we all use in our relationships. It helps us speak the truth from our inner soul as our spiritual voice, as well as to make good decisions and to come up with good ideas. It is also represented by the color blue. 7, record 12, English, - throat%20chakra

There are many things that are used to identify the crown chakra. The colour for this chakra is violet or white. In the body it governs the brain, the top of the head-midline above the ears and the nervous system. The gland that links them is the pineal gland. Anything that goes wrong with any of these areas will affect the crown chakra. Also, when the energy level is deficient it will affect these parts. The gemstones for this chakra are diamond, amethyst and rock crystal. Lotus and olibanum are used for aromatherapy while the metal for crown chakra is gold. When you see any of these symbols, you should know that they are associated with the crown chakra in the chakra system. 4, record 14, English, - crown%20chakra

The navel chakra can be found between the navel and the bottom of the rib cage. The parts of the body affected are the navel, small intestine, pancreas, gall bladder, digestive system, kidney and the liver. This chakra is in charge of a person’s sense of self, where your self-esteem and will power come from. It is sometimes shown as meaning fire, and has aspects of powers that let a person "burn" out the pessimistic aspects of the past and achieve the power to rule and direct your life effectively. It can also help a person learn to meditate and cleanse their spirit from negative thoughts that sometimes cause us to take actions that we later regret. This chakra is a fire element and so it is related to feelings of being thirsty or hungry, or being tired. 4, record 15, English, - navel%20chakra

Criteria for Brain Death. The criteria for the determination of brain death were developed such that any physician in any milieu could confidently diagnose it. All criteria must be met before a diagnosis of brain death can be made : The patient must be unconscious. The patient must be unable to breathe spontaneously and would therefore be on a ventilator. There must be no response to external stimuli(verbal, pain). There must be no response(eye movement) to passive head movements or to ice water syringed into the ears. There must be no blinking in response to touching the cornea. There must be no pupil response to a bright light shone into the eyes. The patient must be unable to maintain blood pressure, control fluids and electrolytes or body temperature. 4, record 22, English, - criteria%20for%20brain%20death

The hammer handle should always be tight in the head... The eye or hole in the hammer head is made with a slight taper in both directions from the center. After the handle, which is tapered to fit the eye, is inserted, in the head, a steel or wooden wedge is driven into the end of the handle that is inserted into the head. This wedge expands the handle and causes it to fill the opposite taper in the eye. Thus the handle is wedged in both directions... 4, record 25, English, - wedge

Visual Vestibular Investigation System(VVIS)(ESA) [European Space Agency]. The VVIS consists of the Body Rotating Device(BRD), Eye Stimulation & Movement Recording System(ESMRS) and Experiment Control System(ECS). The BRD is primarily a seat driven by a motor located in the Spacelab, which is to rotate the test subject, and generates the acceleration. The ESMRS is attached to the top of the BRD and in front of the subject head. This hardware has the darkness curtain, eye stimulation system and eye recording cameras in it, for stimulation and recording of eye movement. 2, record 35, English, - visual%20vestibular%20investigation%20system
