A ground level shot is when your camera's height is on ground level with your subject. This camera angle is used a lot to feature a character walking without revealing their face, but it can help to make the viewer more active and use the actor's performance to build an idea. 2, record 1, English, - ground%2Dlevel%20shot

Recent declines in abundance of skates ... have heightened the need for validated age and growth estimates ... skate vertebral centra collected seasonally ... were sectioned using a mass processing method, then used to reconstruct growth in each species. ... Total counts were obtained by summing visible and estimated band counts. Growth curves were then fitted to all length-at-age data including sections deemed unreadable near the focus. The location of the birth band (BB) in each species was confirmed by comparing suspected birth band radius (BR) measurements with [vertebral radius (VR)] measurements of available late-term embryos ... and/or early young-of-the-year fish ... Regressions between VR and [total length] for each species, along with published hatch lengths, were also used to verify the location of the BB along the corpus calcareum of each section ... 6, record 2, English, - birth%20band

Birthmarks are usually represented by an angle change along the centrum face of whole vertebrae or along [the] intermedialia-corpus calcareum interface with an associated ring on the corpus calcareum in sectioned centra, but this feature may not be distinct in either. 5, record 2, English, - birth%20band

At the end of the J stroke, the paddle is kniffed forward underwater with the power face of the paddle almost flat and facing up. Steering is accomplished by pulling up on the blade as it is brought forward. About halfway through the recovery, the paddle is allowed to slip out of the water in readiness for the next power stroke. The trick is getting a very slight angle on the blade as it comes forward. If the angle is wrong the paddle will plane out of the water or drive too deep. The angle is controlled by the upper hand. 2, record 11, English, - Canadian%20stroke

Fracture line profile [is] a graphical representation of the components of a slab avalanche prepared by excavating a snowpit at the crown face and measuring a variety of snow parameters from the surface down at and including the bed surface(and sometimes extending to the ground). The buttress or breech-block thread is designed for transmitting an exceptionally high pressure in one direction only. In its original form the pressure flank was perpendicular to the thread axis, and the trailing flank sloped at 45°. To simplify the cutting of the face, modern practice is to give the pressure flank a 7° slope. This form of thread is applicable for assembled tubular members because of the small radial thrust. Buttress threads are used on breech mechanisms of large guns and for airplane propeller hubs. 2, record 32, English, - buttress%20thread
