Ochotona collaris is a medium sized pika averaging 17. 8-19. 8cm in length. O. collaris, otherwise known as the collared pika, is usually gray and has grayish patches on the neck and shoulders. These patches seem to resemble a collar, after which the species is named. While very similar in appearance to the American pika, O. princeps, the collared pika's creamy-buff coloration on the side of the face over the facial gland and white ventral coloration help to differentiate the two. Like other pikas, O. collaris has short ears, slightly larger hindlimbs than forelimbs, and a hardly noticeable tail. The collared pika has a relatively broad, flat skull, no supraorbital process and no fenestrae in the frontals. 2, record 24, English, - collared%20pika

Type of return-of-serve groundstroke shot made with a short backswing and in which the lower back side of the ball is blocked back with a slightly open racquet face, thereby imparting both underspin and sidespin to the ball, forcing it to dip and fall into the midcourt. The opponent is thereby forced to generate his own pace to return the ball safely over the net. Record number: 38, Textual support number: 1 OBS
A variation of the "chop", a "chip shot" is usually shallow, forcing an opponent to move quickly forward to hit up on a low ball right into the waiting hands of the attacker. Some tennis players consider the terms "dink" and "chip" to be synonymous. However, semantically speaking, "dink" is more generic in that it may refer to any shallow shot hit with or without much spin. Moreover, "dink" usually implies a certain degree of ruse and deception in conjunction with the use of appropriate body language, whereas "chip" implies no deception. 3, record 38, English, - chip

Most people who want to improve their chances of having a flu free winter can benefit from the annual flu shot. The flu shot cannot give a person the flu, and side effects are minor. At high risk are seniors, adults and children with chronic diseases, and their caregiver. Just about any type of step arrangement can be designed with Allan Block. Stairs built parallel to the wall face "follow" the natural 1&1/2 inch setback of the wall. Landfill methods. There are three principal landfill methods of landfilling ... (1) Excavated cell method ... (2) Area method ... (3) Embankment method: An embankment method is used in situations where the site topography allows for the landfill to be ramped on a hill side or a steep side slope. This type of landfill has commonly been used in past years for design of landfills in ravines, coulees, or gullies with soil being obtained from the hill side or side slopes. 1, record 69, English, - embankment%20method
Record number: 69, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Two general methods of landfilling have evolved : the area method and the trench method. Some schools of thought also include a third, the slope, or ramp, method. In some operations, a slope or ramp is used in combination with the area or trench methods.... In the ramp or slope method(a variation of the area and trench landfills) the solid wastes are dumped on the side of an existing slope. After spreading the material in thin layers on the slope, the bulldozing equipment compacts it. The cover material, usually obtained just ahead of the working face, is spread on the ramp and compacted. 4, record 69, English, - embankment%20method

A cutter-loader based on the plough principle and designed to cut coal which is too hard for the ordinary plough. Two vertical blades, fitted one at each end of the machine, carry cutting picks which shear the coal from the face by an oscillating motion. The machine is hauled backward and forward along the face by a chain haulage mounted on the tail end of the conveyor. The conveyor and slicer are held up to the coal by pneumatic rams spaced along the goaf side of the conveyor. The sheared coal is forced from the face by the wedge shape of the machine and is loaded on to the armoured conveyor by means of specially shaped ramps. The machine has been designed for seams with a minimum thickness of 4 ft and has a maximum cutting depth of 14 in. 4, record 72, English, - Huwood%20slicer

1, record 72, French, - rabot%20activ%C3%A9
