The Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program initially included only pilot training. However, through investigation and validation, we identified potential opportunities to leverage commonalities between training for pilots and for other aircrews that led to changes in the procurement scope.

Arrow missions are technology demonstration missions intended to reduce the risks of Flagship missions. In fact, they are more flexible, cost less, are technically less complex and have a shorter development time. The first two to be approved for study under ESA's Aurora Programme are an Earth re-entry vehicle/capsule and a Mars aerocapture demonstrator.

The former name sounded strange because of the fact that the word prevention was at the very end of the title and one would get the first two words "support harassment... "Consultation with a person working for this programme in the Department of National Defence.
