An example of the advanced technology employed in the Lance weapon system is its unique AN/GJM-24(XO-2) monitor/programmer, or MP. All the functions necessary to fire the missile are performed by the MP, which measures only 42X51X43 cm. This solid-state, combined analog and digital computer supplies pre-launch power to Lance from a 19-cell, 24v dc(direct current) Ni-Cad(Nickel-Cadmium) battery, it inserts range information into the missile guidance set before launch, controls the missile's safe, arming and firing mechanisms, and monitors the firing sequence. 1, record 3, English, - monitor%2Fprogrammer

1, record 3, French, - contr%C3%B4leur%2Ds%C3%A9quenceur%20de%20tir

The salts of hydrochloric acid, known as chlorides, can, in most cases, be prepared by dissolving either the metal, its hydroxide, oxide, or carbonate in the acid; or by heating the metal in a current of chlorine, or by precipitation. The majority of the metallic chlorides are solids (stannic chloride, titanic chloride and antimony pentachloride are liquids) which readily volatilize on heating. Many are readily soluble in water, the chief exceptions being silver, chloride, mercurous chloride, cuprous chloride and palladious chloride which are insoluble in water, and thallous chloride and lead chloride which are only slightly soluble in cold water, but are readily soluble in hot water. 3, record 7, English, - metallic%20chloride
Record number: 7, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Chlorine induced corrosion is the most important corrosion process in power plants, firing waste, coal and/or biomass. Depending on the process, chlorine is present as HCl gas, as solid KCl and NaCl in ashes or as eutectic melts i. e. KCl-ZnCl2 in deposits of waste fired boilers. In the presence of HCl gas and solid chlorides, "active oxidation" is generally accepted as the major corrosion mechanism. Metal chlorides are formed by inward diffusion of chlorine to the metal/oxide interface, evaporating and subsequently oxidized to non-protective oxides and additional chlorine. 4, record 7, English, - metallic%20chloride

A power burner in which gas is supplied at atmospheric pressure(zero gas) maintained by a zero governor. A fan, or blower, blows the air through a venturi, where venturi action pulls the gas into the airstream. The quantity of gas drawn into the airstream is a direct function of the air velocity, so the air-fuel ratio will remain constant regardless of the air volume. The firing rate is controlled by air adjustment alone. 1, record 10, English, - zero%2Dgovernor%20burner

A power burner in which a fan, or blower, blows air at high velocity past turbulators. The gas, at regulated pressure, is released into the turbulent airstream-typically from a ring at the mouth of the burner(in which case it is also called a ring burner). The gas escapes through orifices around the periphery of the ring. Gas and air are adjusted simultaneously to maintain the proper air-fuel ratio as the firing rate changes. In high-pressure gun burners, the gas is ejected at pressures up to 15 psi from spuds located in the center of the turbulent airstream instead of at the outside. 1, record 11, English, - gun%20type%20burner
