2, record 12, French, - surveillance%20de%20flamme

A power burner in which gas is supplied at atmospheric pressure(zero gas) maintained by a zero governor. A fan, or blower, blows the air through a venturi, where venturi action pulls the gas into the airstream. The quantity of gas drawn into the airstream is a direct function of the air velocity, so the air-fuel ratio will remain constant regardless of the air volume. modulating fire. Varying the firing rate as the load varies. This results in longer burner operation because the firing rate is lowered as temperature or pressure builds up toward the cutoff point. Record number: 22, Textual support number: 2 CONT
There are four widely used operating configurations for gas fired appliances : modulating fire, on-off, hi-low, and multi-stage firing. Modulating fire is accomplished by mechanically varying the size of the gas admittance opening of one or more special "modulating" gas valves. With the gas valve completely open the boiler fires at it's full fire rate. The unit is said to be at "full turndown" when it fires at it's lowest firing rate. The "turndown ratio" is the ratio of full fire rate to full turndown firing rate and is a function of boiler design. A turn down ratio of 5 : 1 would indicate that a boiler is capable of a full turndown firing rate of 20%(5 : 1(100% fire : 20% fire). 3, record 22, English, - modulating%20fire

2, record 22, French, - allure%20progressive

Return Flow Mechanical Atomizing Oil Burners. This [commercial-industrial oil] burner is a modification of a mechanical atomizing burner; atomization is accomplished by oil pressure alone.... The burner was developed for use in large installations such as on shipboard and in electric generating stations.... It is also used for firing large hot water boilers compressed air is too expensive for atomizing oil in large burners.... Wide range is accomplished by use of a return-flow nozzle which has a swirl chamber just ahead of the orifice or sprayer plate. Good atomization is attained by maintaining a high rate of oil flow and high pressure drop through the swirl chamber. The excess oil above the load demand is returned from the swirl chamber to the oil storage tank or to the oil pump suction. Control of burning rate is accomplished by varying the oil pressure in both the oil inlet and the oil return lines. 1, record 40, English, - return%20flow%20mechanical%20atomizing%20oil%20burner

Oil furnaces. Indoor oil furnaces... are available in upflow, downflow, horizontal and low-boy configurations for ducted systems. They are also available as floor furnaces, wall furnaces, and free standing space heaters. Oil-fired outdoor furnaces and combination units are rare.... The ducted system, oil-fired, forced air furnaces are usually equipped with pressure-atomizing burners. The pump pressure and the orifice size of the injection nozzle regulate the firing rate of the furnace. Electric ignition is used to ignite the burners.... The combustion chamber and heat exchanger of oil-fired furnaces are normally formed as a common single chamber. It is formed from heavy gage steel into a welded assembly. The hot flue products flow through the inside of the heat exchanger into the chimney. The conditioned air flows over the outside of the heat exchanger and into the air supply plenum. 1, record 41, English, - oil%20furnace
