3, record 3, French, - parc%20%C3%A9ponge

A ghost forest is the watery remains of a once verdant woodland. As sea level rises, more and more saltwater encroaches on the land. Along the world’s coasts and estuaries, invading seawater advances and overtakes the fresh water that deciduous trees rely upon for sustenance. The salty water slowly poisons living trees, leaving a haunted ghost forest of dead and dying timber. Still standing in or near brackish water, the decaying trees of a ghost forest resemble giant graying pillars that protrude into the air. 2, record 11, English, - ghost%20forest

Infiltration flooding. After a few days of steady rain, when spring snow-melt occurs or during an extreme rainfall event, the soil around [the] home can become saturated with water. Steady snow-melt and precipitation can also raise the ground water level to a point where it is higher than [the] basement floor. This groundwater can infiltrate into basements through cracks in basement walls(or foundation walls) and cracks in basement floors. Infiltration flooding can be a significant problem in older homes where mortar has weakened over the years and cracks have developed in stone or cinder block foundations. 1, record 15, English, - infiltration%20flooding

Riparian delta water : These wetlands occur on alluvial plains and areas where alluvium is deposited where a river or stream enters a lake. An active delta is well drained with interconnecting channels, lakes and ponds. The process of sediment deposition is ongoing. Associated wetlands are flooded frequently. In some instances, former lake shorelines have receded or disappeared over geologic time leaving isolated deltas. Flooding of associated wetlands is infrequent, due to river flooding or wind tides(seiches). 1, record 45, English, - riparian%20delta%20water

1, record 58, French, - refroidissement%20par%20noyage

Contour ditch irrigation is also known as wild flooding. It consists of a series of ditches spaced 25 to 100 m apart. There is a slight slope along these ditches and usually, the downslope bank is lower so that the water, when checked, is not restrained from flowing into the field along the entire ditch. Sometimes, water release into the field is accomplished by making cuts through the down-slope bank or using siphons. Theoretically, in contour ditch irrigation the water moves down the slope as a uniform sheet. Successive ditches located down the slope pick up the surface runoff and redistribute it to lower portions of the field. 4, record 62, English, - contour%20ditch%20irrigation

Secondary recovery of oil. When a large part of the crude oil cannot be recovered simply by allowing the original reservoir pressure to furnish the driving energy, a method for supplying extra energy must be found. Boiler Return Trap or Alternating Receiver. This type of trap is used to return condensate to a low pressure boiler. The boiler return trap does not hold steam as do other types, but is an adaptation of the lifting trap. It is used in conjunction with a boiler to prevent flooding return mains when excess pressure prevents condensate from returning to the boiler by gravity. The boiler trap collects condensate and equalizes the boiler and trap pressure, enabling the condensate in the trap to flow back to the boiler by gravity. 5, record 70, English, - boiler%20return%20trap
