They were producing and exporting to India Instapak Chemical B which has the same HS Tariff category as Slabstock Polyol produced by domestic producers, but which is neither like nor directly competitive with FSP [flexible slabstock polyurethane foams]. Although both substances contain Polyol, Instapak Chemical B differs from FSP in the following ways :(i) Different molecular weight of Polyol.(ii) Different chemical additives.(iii) Unique reactivity with Instapak Chemical A.... Instapak Chemical B and FSP are not directly competitive articles because it has a unique end use. It is used only to produce protective foam in-house to package items such as defence electronics, avionics, computer peripherals, aircraft parts etc. and not for mattresses or flexible slabstock.

In the partial prepolymer method all the isocyanate is reacted first with part of the polyol; this intermediate is referred to as the A component. The remainder of the polyol, containing the catalyst, blowing agent, and other ingredients, forms the B component. The two components are supplied in separate containers and constitute a two-part prefoam mixture system that requires good agitation for blending and foaming.

A type of package designed to contain a controlled activity of radioactive material which is limited to quantities specified in the Transport Packaging of Radioactive Materials Regulations of the AECB.

By definition, Type A packages contain less radioactive material than Type B packages. While Type B packages must be designed to survive accident conditions, Type A packages may release a limited amount of radioactive material or lose a limited amount of shielding in a severe accident.

A type A package may be a metal, plywood or cardboard box or drum, with internal foam inserts, lead shielding, absorbent material(if a liquid), and additional containment features. The package will have labels and the transport vehicle requires placarding.

"Type A package" has the meaning assigned to that term by paragraph 134(c) of the IAEA Regulations.

Le colis de type A peut être soit une boîte ou un cylindre en métal, en contre-plaqué ou en carton où sont placés des cales en mousse, un blindage en plomb, un matériau absorbant (s'il s'agit de liquides), d'autres dispositifs de confinement. Le colis doit porter des étiquettes spéciales et le véhicule de transport doit porter des panneaux de mise en garde contre les rayonnements.
