Exercise Advice : Place a barbell under your chin, resting it securely across the tops of your shoulders. Hold the barbell in place with your hands with elbows elevated so that [they] are parallel to the floor. Your feet should be just beyond shoulder width apart. Begin this exercise by squatting as though you are going to sit down in a chair. Squat to a point to where your thighs become parallel to the floor and then return to the start position. It is very important that you keep your back as straight as possible throughout this movement(one way to help do this is to focus your eyes on a spot high on the wall in front of you throughout the entire exercise). 1, record 2, English, - front%20barbell%20squat

The argument of pericenter, for example, is defined as follows. There is a line through space which is fixed by convention as a reference. If one body orbits another(for instance the Moon orbiting around the Earth) the argument of pericenter associated with this orbit is the angle in the plane of the orbit between the reference line and the closest point of the orbit to the focus. ... reading from a computer screen... Our eyes have what is called a "dark focus. "This is the point in space where your focus would be if your eyes were totally relaxed. Imagine a pitch black room. In such an environment, where you can’t see anything, your eyes are actually focusing on a fixed point in space, that is why it is called the "dark" focus. This focus is known as the Resting Point of Accommodation(RPA) and is unique to every individual, but it usually rests more than three feet away from your face(and does not depend on time of day or age). 6, record 8, English, - resting%20point%20of%20accommodation

The National Artists Program, a federally funded project held in conjunction with the 2003 Canada Winter Games, will be held in Bathurst and Campbellton, New Brunswick from February 22 to March 8, 2003. The Program will focus on the following four artistic disciplines : Dance, Music, Theatre Arts and Visual Arts. The primary objective is to create artistic works inspired by and representative of the spirit of the Canada Games. The Games motto "Come Celebrate Winter", local settings, Games sporting venues, and the wide diversity of the participants should provide an excellent starting point for these artistic works. Four participants from each province and territory between the ages of 16 and 23 years of age(one in each of the four disciplines) will be featured during the two weeks of the Games. The participant will travel on the chartered airplanes as part of the provincial/territorial teams, the cost being borne by the federal government. The philosophy of the National Artists Program is to "bring together bright and talented young artists from each province and territory(representing a variety of disciplines) and challenge them, under the guidance of senior arts facilitators, to use the games as the inspiration for their art in order to see "the artistic and cultural dynamics that can be produced when the best of Canada's budding athletes come together with the best of Canada's emerging artists. 2, record 11, English, - National%20Artists%20Program

2, record 11, French, - Programme%20national%20des%20artistes

Charities can and do charge fees for their charitable programs, but when their fees are high enough that they exclude those in need of the service or provide a return above the break-even point, it raises the question of whether their purpose is indeed charitable. A key to identifying whether a training business or social business is a charitable program in its own right(as opposed to a potentially "related" business) is to determine whether its focus is on helping the clientele or on making a profit. 1, record 14, English, - charitable%20program

1, record 14, French, - programme%20de%20bienfaisance

A confocal laser scanning microscope is a light microscope having a dramatically higher axial resolution than a conventional microscope. In other words, a confocal microscope is capable of optical sectioning. This is accomplished by illuminating the specimen one point at a time with a focused laser beam and using an optical arrangement, where only the light originating from the focus can be detected. The image is formed by scanning the laser beam over the specimen and recording the image into computer memory. A three-dimensional view of the specimen can be reconstructed from a stack of such images taken at successive focal planes. 2, record 19, English, - axial%20resolution

Currently, pharmaceutical care is understood as the pharmacists’ compromise to obtain the maximum benefit from the pharmacological treatments of the patients, being therefore responsible of monitoring their pharmacotherapy. As the profession has moved from a product orientation(dispensing medications) to a patient focus, clinical training requirements have expanded. 3, record 30, French, - microscope%20confocal%20%C3%A0%20balayage%20laser

Arid climates required the development of irrigation technology and because of the scarcity and great value of water, desert societies made early use of this technology to incorporate water into their gardens as a decorative feature. Ancient Persia. Contemporary descriptions of the Mesopotamian and Egyptian water displays illustrate this point by depicting decorative pools and channels that doubled as reservoirs and irrigation canals. These pools tended toward simple geometric shapes, providing the major focus in a garden or courtyard; they often included papyrus, lotus, and other water-associated plants; some were used to raise fish for food. 1, record 38, English, - decorative%20pool

The continuing proliferation of customer interface points-automatic tellers, debit cards, telephone banking, etc. creates confusion. Financial institutions will eliminate this by improving penetration of services. Many financial institutions are considering outsourcing transaction processing, implementing point ventures with other financial institutions, and private labelling financial services products from competitors. Ernst & Young is now using this Virtual Bank Model of Banking to held books develop the right operations framework :focus on the customer, select key competencies, form point ventures, and use outsourcing to provide non essential services.(En Route, Air-Canada in-flight magazine, June 1994, p. 31). 1, record 41, English, - virtual%20bank

The overall picture formed by all possible initial conditions in the(x, x) plane is referred to as the phase portrait. Consider the motion of a pendulum which comes to rest due to air resistance. In the abstract two-dimensional phase space(with coordinates x, and velocity, x) motions appear as noncrossing spirals converging asymptotically towards the resting, fixed state. This focus is called a point attractor which attracts all local transient motions. 2, record 42, English, - phase%20portrait
