CONT

(a) Direct or primary-the rays which pass directly from the machine through the tissue and onto the film.(b) Secondary-rays which pass in and out of the tissue in all direction. Some are returned to the film and cause fogging.(c) Stray-rays given off from parts of the tube other than the focal spot.
