A cadence of three heart sounds which may be due either to a third sound(protodiastolic gallop) or to a fourth sound(presystolic gallop), or to a combination of them(summation gallop), in addition to the two normal sounds(first and second). La notion de galop est une notion clinique de bruit de remplissage pathologique lors d'une défaillance ventriculaire, par opposition à la notion de 3e et 4e bruits, qui peuvent être perçus dans des circonstances variées et n'impliquent pas cette notion.
