The Research Branch is the principal research organization serving Canadian agriculture, and has long been heavily involved in the development of new grain varieties. Its headquarters are located in the Central Experimental Farm in Ottawa and its two regional headquarters are located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Ste. Foy, Quebec. The Branch has over 50 establishments, research stations, experimental farms, and substations, located across Canada to serve areas of varied soil and climatic conditions.
