Fragmented policies remain a significant obstacle in effectively addressing climate change effects while increasing agricultural production. It is impossible to act on climate change effects without modifying the farming methods. Thus, climate change and agriculture are competing priorities that should not be looked at as separate entities but mainstreamed into policies, institutional frameworks, and development agendas at local, national, and regional levels. 3, record 1, English, - competing%20priority

Record number: 12, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The jet stream is a fragmented global wind flow that encircles the mid-latitudes in a wavelike pattern. Embedded within this global wind belt are jet streaks. A jet streak is a segment of the jet stream that has relatively high velocity winds.... Jet streaks are caused by a large low-level temperature gradient, thus they are more intense in the cool season when the differential in temperature between the polar regions and tropical regions is largest. Jet streaks are analyzed near the 300-mb level. 4, record 12, English, - jet%20streak
Record number: 12, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Some authors consider "jet stream core" and "core of the jet stream" synonyms with "jet streak." In fact, a "jet stream core" is "a line, within the jet stream, along which the wind speeds are maximum both in the vertical and horizontal." The "jet streak" is a "segment within the jet stream core where the wind reaches its greatest speed." There could be more than one "jet streak" within a "jet stream core." The French equivalent of "jet stream core" is "coeur du courant-jet." 7, record 12, English, - jet%20streak

Decomposing and fragmented particles are those snow crystals that have in some way been changed from their original form. This change can be through mechanical action(such as with wind) or through natural processes such as rounding(in which a crystal loses its original form and its branches... can become detached from the original crystal). Parts of the original crystal forms may still be discernible. Online auctioneers, such as Adauction, offer a reliable channel for sellers to dispose of perishable or surplus goods or services at the best possible prices. As lastly, there are exchangers, such as NTE, that create liquidity matching bid/ask offers and act as neutral third parties, enforcing market rules and settlements terms. When you use the same file over and over again, writing, rewriting, saving, and deleting parts of it on the same disk, the file becomes fragmented. That means that although you can’t tell, your operating system is storing all the data from that file as separate packages of information, distributed on different parts of the disk. Although fragmentation does not lose the information contained in the file, it does eventually slow down access to the file itself, because the OS must search the whole disk to create the sum of the file's parts. Defragmentation collects all those parts into one stream of data again, speeding up your system. 3, record 41, English, - defragmentation

The planets of our Solar System formed due to two properties of interstellar clouds : rotation and turbulence. When clouds fragment during contraction, individual fragments turn this way and that, each having inherited the angular momentum(spin) of one or a few discrete whorls or eddies in the original clouds. Each cloud fragment(a potential star) would have rotated faster and faster as it contracted, owing to the physical necessity of conserving its angular momentum-much as a skater spins up when he/she folds in her/his arms. Fragments with low angular momentum form the core and fragments with high angular momentum populate a flattened disk orbiting the core, with a shape similar to many galaxies. Often the core itself is fragmented, leading to binary and multiple star systems. 1, record 53, English, - cloud%20fragment

Multiplex DNA sequencing : The increasing demand for DNA sequences can be met by replacement of each DNA sample in a device with a mixture of N samples so that the normal throughput is increased by a factor of N. Such a method is described. In order to separate the sequence information at the end of the processing, the DNA molecules of interest are ligated to a set of oligonucleotide "tags" at the beginning. The tagged DNA molecules are pooled, amplified, and chemically fragmented in 96-well plates. The resulting reaction products are fractionated by size on sequencing gels and transferred to nylon membranes. These membranes are then probed as many times as there are types of tags in the original pools, producing, in each cycle of probing, autoradiographs similar to those from standard DNA sequencing methods. 1, record 67, English, - multiplex%20DNA%20sequencing

1, record 67, French, - m%C3%A9thode%20de%20s%C3%A9quen%C3%A7age%20multiplex
