To be an analytical biochemist, you must be curious, meticulous, and driven to discover. Analytical biochemists are proficient at advanced biochemical techniques such as liquid or gas chromatography—isolating the components of a sample for further investigation. Another technique commonly used by analytical biochemists is liquid-liquid extraction—a technique that uses liquids with different properties to separate contents of a solution for collection and analysis. An analytical biochemist will typically examine and manipulate various samples with the goals of identifying a sample's components and determining how the individual components can be used for further discovery of new or significant compounds. 2, record 2, English, - analytical%20biochemist

High throughput screening(HTS) involves the screening of very large collections of small molecules enabled by automation... HTS remains the most popular approach taken when little initial information is known about the particular biological system under investigation. The broad objective of compound screening is to rapidly identify biologically active small molecules or "hits" within a specific area of interest. These hits serve as valuable starting points for further biological evaluation and chemical optimization. 4, record 3, English, - high%20throughput%20screening

Dynamic approaches(integrated and finite difference) to the Schaefer and Fox production models are applied to four commercial lobster fisheries. The integrated versions provided better predictions than their finite difference counterparts. Only the integrated version of the Fox model provides realistic(positive) biological parameter estimates for all four fisheries, and bootstrapping reveals those estimates to be generally stable. Additionally, this model performs well when applied to data where certain assumptions of surplus production modeling are fulfilled. The results suggest further investigation of the integration procedure. 2, record 4, English, - Fox%20production%20model

I can’t stress how important it is to get a vet check done on a horse you wish to buy... The vet will issue a written report to you. You can also ask the vet whether the horse will be physically suitable for the discipline that you want to use the horse for... The vet will look at the horse's structure and determine whether his feet and bone structure are suitable for what you wish to do with the horse. He’ll also be able to point out any imperfections. He’ll check the horse's vital signs and check for lameness after being exercised. He’ll check the horse's teeth to see if they correspond to the age the seller claims the horse to be and he’ll also look to see whether the equine's teeth have been maintained. Essentially the vet will check the horse's conformation, movement and soundness, wind, gut sounds, heart and lungs, eyesight and hearing. If anything untoward is apparent then it's a chance for further investigation. 3, record 21, English, - veterinary%20examination

The Vaccine Associated Adverse Events Surveillance System(VAAESS) has had its name changed to Canadian Adverse Events Following Immunization Surveillance System(CAEFISS). This new name is in harmony with international standards and emphasizes that reported events follow immunization but are not necessarily associated with vaccine. The Canadian Adverse Events Following Immunization Surveillance System(CAEFISS) was developed to provide a national monitoring system for reporting adverse events and suspected adverse events following immunization. The objectives of the system are to : ensure continued safety of marketed vaccines in Canada; monitor adverse effects that may be caused by a vaccine; identify any unusually high rates of adverse events, both with individual vaccines and individual lots of vaccine; provide timely information that can be made available to potential recipients as well as health care providers so that they can weigh the risks and benefits of immunization, and identify areas that require further epidemiologic investigation and research or problems that require immediate investigation. 1, record 24, English, - Canadian%20Adverse%20Events%20Following%20Immunization%20Surveillance%20System

1, record 24, French, - Syst%C3%A8me%20canadien%20de%20surveillance%20des%20effets%20secondaires%20suivant%20l%27immunisation
