The ability to maintain stable, level flight, and to manoeuvre in a controlled fashion. There are three components to stability : roll, pitch, and yaw. Stability in "roll" is maintained and controlled by the ailerons; "pitch" is maintained by the dihedral angle of the wings, and controlled by the elevators; "yaw" is maintained by the keel effect of the fuselage, and controlled by the rudder. 1, record 1, English, - aerodynamic%20stability

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 DEF
Thrust augmentation system developed by de Havilland Aircraft of Canada to increase vertical lift characteristics of proposed supersonic short takeoff and vertical landing fighter aircraft. Basically, an ejector mixes a secondary flow of air with the primary flow from a turbofan engine within an encasing shroud. This has the effect of increasing the thrust by 50 to 100 percent. Augmented primary thrust is ejected through a nozzle. When the ejector is within or part of the fuselage, it is referred to as a fuselage ejector, or fuselage ejector lift. 1, record 3, English, - ejector%20lift%2Fvectored%20thrust
