The worked stone bridge on the east side of the Shokintel has a length of about 5.96 meter, width of about 0.70 meters and thickness of about 0.36 meters. When its architectural structure is considered, the stone bridge might appear to be a straight line that is somewhat too strong for a guiding path to a tea garden which should be very natural. Actually, without being at all unnatural, it harmonizes well with spatial composition of the garden architecture. 2, record 1, English, - garden%20architecture

As we start our planning we should keep a few basic design principles in mind. We will, through careful planning, want to improve on the good, bad, and the ugly, logically to create a wonderful garden area. Most professional designers, after years of practice, will apply these principles automatically. The following is a list of a few basics. Unity : This is probably the most important area for the overall plan. A good plan will have unity in all things. This is where we look for all parts to interrelate with each other and also relate to the overall plan. 2, record 2, English, - unity

Because we are more accustomed to recognizing and accepting objects with equally distributed parts on a vertical axis, we identify this visual satisfaction as balance. When both sides of an axis are mirror images of each other, they are in symmetry, a landscape formula used for generations in so-called formal garden layouts. Its opposite is asymmetry(or occult balance) and provides us with the design term "informal". During the 1820s, 1830s and 1840s, garden cemeteries were founded in most cities in Britain. Their characteristic appearance owes much to a British tradition of naturalistic landscape design but has particular resonances in the context of death and mourning in the nineteenth century. This article considers some of the factors that have been significant in the development of the British landscape cemetery, including public health, class relationships and foreign influences(particularly that of Père Lachaise cemetery in Paris). It is argued that none of these things explains the popularity of this particular form of cemetery in Britain; rather, the garden cemetery offered an appealing and appropriate landscape for remembering the dead and mediating the relationship between the dead and the bereaved. 2, record 7, English, - park%20cemetery

Garden and landscape design deals with the treatment of land areas not covered by buildings, when those areas are considered important to visual experience, with or without utilitarian function.... Garden and landscape design... works with a wide range of natural and processed materials capable of holding up well in the specific local climatic conditions of the site. These materials include earth, rock, water, and plants, either existing on the site or brought in; and construction materials such as concrete, stone, brick, wood, tile, metal, and glass. 1, record 13, English, - garden%20design

Outdoor furnishings and equipment include all of those fixed and movable elements that tend to appear in garden or landscape after the plans are done and installed and therefore without benefit of design control. In the garden they are seats, tables, barbecues, umbrellas, plant containers, supports, and guards, as well as lights and light systems. In the public landscape they include these garden elements and many more : signs, trash containers, alarm boxes, mailboxes, newsstands, kiosks, service elements, telephone stands. 1, record 14, English, - garden%20element

2, record 15, French, - jardin%20pittoresque
