Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
An urban extension that takes form in a single depth of houses along roads radiating from the city... In American parlance, ribbon, or strip, development usually refers to the garish commercial stretches lining highways, particularly those leading into and out of major urban areas. 1, record 2, English, - ribbon%20development
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 OBS
for "strip development" : These terms have both an abstract and a concrete meaning. The first refers to the trend of development which has or is taking place, and when this type of development occurs on the urban fringe, the concept is closely related to that of "radial expansion". In its second, very common acceptance, the term designates the actual result of this process. In both cases, the term is pejorative, and should be distinguished from such concepts as the "corridor pattern" of planned development along designated routes. 1, record 2, English, - ribbon%20development

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
1, record 2, French, - urbanisation%20lin%C3%A9aire
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 2 OBS
