Unlike black surfaces, calculation of radiation exchange for grey-diffuse surfaces is generally considered too complex. This is because a grey surface is not a perfect absorber as for a black surface. As radiation leaves a surface, it travels to the other surfaces whereby it is absorbed partially and is then reflected many times in between with partial absorption at each contact with a surface. 2, record 3, English, - radiation%20exchange

Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
2, record 3, French, - %C3%A9change%20radiatif

Hot body emission: All bodies emit electromagnetic radiation. The spectral spread of this radiation is determined by the temperature of the body and a fundamental law of physics. 2, record 4, English, - body%20radiation
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 OBS
All matter with a temperature greater than 0°K (Kelvin) emits electromagnetic energy; the amount of energy and wavelengths at which the energy is emitted are dependent on the temperature of the body. The higher the temperature of the body, the greater the magnitude of the energy radiated and the shorter the wavelengths at which that peak energy is radiated. A body will radiate energy over a range of wavelengths, called the body’s radiation spectrum (a subset of the complete electromagnetic spectrum). 3, record 4, English, - body%20radiation

3, record 4, French, - rayonnement%20des%20corps
Record number: 4, Textual support number: 1 OBS
4, record 4, French, - rayonnement%20des%20corps
