Halogenated extinguishing agents are hydrocarbons in which one or more hydrogen atoms have been replaced by atoms from the halogen series : fluorine, chlorine, bromine, or iodine... The halogenated extinguishing agents are currently known simply as halons and the halon system for naming the halogenated hydrocarbons was devised by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Polyethersulfone is a new high-temperature engineering thermoplastic with an outstanding long-term resistance to creep at temperatures up to 150°C. It is also capable of being used continuously under load at temperatures of up to about 180°C and, in some low-stress applications, up to 200°C.... Ante una fasciolasis se utiliza triclabendazole (TCBZ) un benzimidazol halogenado que despolimeriza los microtúbulos del parásito con la consecuente pérdida de función, desprendimiento y muerte.
