The Dutch Fe-Migration Mending Test. … It aims to test the act of treatment itself, which is applied to a paper impregnated with bathophenanthroline and stamped with an iron gall ink. Migrations of Fe(II) out of the ink line are visually assessed through the occurrence of pink halos. This test is particularly sensitive. If no pink halo appears, the treatment process can be implemented with confidence on original objects. 1, record 1, English, - Dutch%20mending%20test

Secondary dispersion halos, or anomalies, are sometimes referred to as dispersion trains. The shape and extent of secondary dispersion trains depend on a host of factors, of which topography and groundwater movement are perhaps most important. A solar halo is a luminous ring that is sometimes seen surrounding the Sun. Some parts of the halo are very bright, others are not very bright. Sometimes, only a part of the ring is visible. Within the solar halo, on opposite sides of the Sun, there can be two very bright spots called "sun dogs" or "mock suns. "The halo is produced as sunlight is reflected and refracted through tiny, flat ice crystals in the atmosphere. Sun dogs and halos always are at an angle of 22° away from the Sun, due to the hexagonal structure of the ice crystals. The diameter of the halo is about an eighth of the sky. 1, record 8, English, - solar%20halo

1, record 8, French, - halo%20solaire

A lunar halo is a luminous ring that is sometimes seen surrounding the moon. Some parts of the halo are very bright, others are not very bright. Sometimes, only a part of the ring is visible. The halo is produced as moonlight is reflected and refracted through tiny, flat ice crystals in the atmosphere. Halos always are at an angle of 22° away from the moon, due to the hexagonal structure of the ice crystals. The diameter of the halo is about an eighth of the sky. 1, record 13, English, - lunar%20halo

1, record 13, French, - halo%20lunaire

secondary dispersion :... Secondary patterns are those formed at the earth's surface by weathering, erosion, or surface transportation. The shape of the dispersion trains in the soil and vegetation are variable, depending on the topography and a host of other factors. Some are essentially halos that surround the locus of mineralization below. Others are fan-shaped with their apexes at or near the mineral deposits. These are generally referred to as dispersion fans. 1, record 15, English, - shape%20of%20dispersion%20trains

1, record 15, French, - forme%20des%20aur%C3%A9oles
