A Basque sport, similar to American handball.

There are different ways of playing Basque pelota: with the hand, a bat, "remonte" and "cesta," which are types of baskets, and "trinquete" and "share," two kinds of rackets. There are different kinds of pelota courts where this sport is played.

Pilota in Basque and Catalan, pelota in Spanish, or pelote in French(from Latin pila) is a name for a variety of court sports played with a ball using one's hand, a racket, a wooden bat(pala), or a basket propulsor, against a wall(frontón in Spanish, frontoi in Basque, frontó in Catalan) or, more traditionally, with two teams face to face separated by a line on the ground or a net.

La pelota vasca (en euskera: euskal pilota) es un deporte tradicional vasco practicado principalmente en la zona norte de España, es decir, el País Vasco, Navarra, La Rioja y Castilla y León, así como también en el País Vasco francés y los países que alguna vez fueron colonia de España. Generalmente requiere la participación de dos jugadores o equipos que a su vez golpean por turnos una pelota contra un muro, llamado "frontis", hasta conseguir un tanto.

Il y a «dribble» lorsqu'un joueur qui contrôle le ballon donne une impulsion en le lançant, en le frappant ou en le roulant sur le sol et le retouche avant qu'il ne soit touché par un autre joueur. Lorsque le ballon n'est pas en contact avec sa main, le joueur peut faire autant de pas qu'il veut lors du dribble. Le dribble se termine lorsque le joueur touche le ballon des deux mains ou le tient. Un joueur ne peut exécuter de dribble que lorsqu'il a le contrôle du ballon. Il est néanmoins interdit de faire un second dribble d'affilée; après avoir complété un dribble, le joueur doit perdre et reprendre le contrôle du ballon avant de faire un nouveau dribble. Il perd le contrôle quand il y a une passe ou une perte involontaires du ballon alors que celui-ci est touché par un autre joueur.

OBS

Pour amener le ballon à proximité du but, les joueurs peuvent soit le passer à l'un de leurs coéquipiers, soit avancer en dribblant.
