Augmented reality(AR) is the addition of digital imagery and other information to the real world by a computer system. AR enhances a user's view or perception of the world by adding computer generated information to their view. Spatial augmented reality is a branch of AR research that uses projectors to augment physical objects with computer generated information and graphics. Traditionally, projectors have been used to project information onto purpose built projection screens, or walls. SAR on the other hand, locates(or projects) information directly onto objects of interest, including moving objects. SAR systems use sensors to develop a three dimensional(3D) model of the world, and typically include tracking systems that enable them to dynamically track movement of real world objects. Such movements or changes are integrated into the 3D model so that updates can be made to projections as objects are moved around. 1, record 2, English, - spatial%20augmented%20reality

2, record 2, French, - r%C3%A9alit%C3%A9%20augment%C3%A9e%20spatiale

Robotic grasping and manipulation in unknown environments is made difficult by several factors.... To make robots cheaper, lighter, and safer, precision in the accuracy of end-effector position is often sacrificed. This introduces uncertainty in the position of the gripper relative to the object. Robotic grasping theory must account for such uncertainty in order to provide robust and reliable grasping in unstructured environments. One method for dealing with such uncertainty is robotic caging. Unlike an immobilizing grasp, in which the robotic hand grasps an object so as to prevent all motion of the object relative to the hand, a caging grasp only prevents the object from escaping through the fingers, while allowing some motion of the object relative to the hand. 1, record 3, English, - robotic%20caging

Liquor store managers supervise the operations of free-standing stores that specialize in the sale of spirits. Additionally, many supermarkets or food stores licensed to sell liquor typically segregate this department as a separate entity and hire liquor store managers. One of the major responsibilities of the liquor store manager is to control inventory, which involves regularly counting all product on hand and in storage, analyzing sales and traffic trends, and then basing future orders off forecasts made from this information. 1, record 27, French, - objet%20participatif

Requisitions on title... may be further subdivided into requisitions going to the root of the title and other requisitions on title... The relevance of the distinction lies in the application of the clause limiting the time within which requisitions may be made. Where the requisition does not go to the root of title this provision tends to be applied strictly. Where, on the other hand, the requisition does go to the root of title, the requisition may be made after the time stipulated by the contract and the provisions of the contract will not result in the purchaser being deemed to have accepted the defect in question.(Law Society of Upper Canada, Bar Admission Course, Real Estate Law, 1990-1991, p. 8-2). 1, record 33, English, - requisition%20going%20to%20the%20root%20of%20title

A tennis racquet is normally held at the end of the shaft called the "grip". The "shaft" is a long structural part of a tennis racket, stretching from the throat area all the way to the butt of the racquet. Only a part of the "shaft" is made for contact with the hand. This part is called the "handle". Nonetheless some authors have confused the issue by making "shaft" and "handle" synonyms by saying that new dampening materials have been incorporated in the "handle", when they really mean "shaft" :"... features Head's Ultrazorb in the handle to dampen vibration and a new contoured grip for more secure feel". 5, record 43, English, - racket%20handle

Social scoping refers to a very early activity in an impact assessment in which an attempt is made to identify the attributes or components of the environment for which there is public or professional concern, or both, and to which the assessment should primarily be addressed. On the other hand, ecological scoping is defined as an exploration of the possibilities for studying and predicting the effects of a planned action on the attributes or components so defined. Thus, social scoping establishes the terms in which impacts should be expressed, and ecological scoping established the terms under which the impacts can be studied and predicted. 1, record 50, English, - ecological%20scoping

1, record 50, French, - d%C3%A9termination%20de%20la%20port%C3%A9e%20%C3%A9cologique

Paula Lishman's exclusive, patented yarn is made from genuine fur pelts--sheared beaver, fox, mink, and muskrat. The pelts are hand cut into a narrow, 1/8 "(2. 5 mm) wide strip. This strip is re-enforced with colour-matched cotton and twisted, so the leather is on the inside covering the cotton, with the fur radiating outwards from the centre. The yarn is dyed in a dazzling array of colours, from rose beige to deep browns and beyond, covering the fashion range from classic to trendy. 1, record 62, English, - fur%20yarn

This feast is celebrated in the Latin Church on the Thursday after Trinity Sunday to solemnly commemorate the institution of the Holy Eucharist. The instrument in the hand of Divine Providence was St. Juliana of Mont Cornillon, in Belgium. She was born in 1193 at Retines near Liège. Orphaned at an early age, she was educated by the Augustinian nuns of Mont Cornillon. Here she in time made her religious profession and later became superioress. Intrigues of various kinds several times drove her from her convent. She died 5 April, 1258, at the House of the Cistercian nuns at Fosses, and was buried at Villiers. Juliana, from her early youth, had a great veneration for the Blessed Sacrement, and always longed for a special feast in its honour. This desire is said to have been increased by a vision of the Church under the appearance of the full moon having one dark spot, which signified the absence of such a solemnity. She made known her ideas to Robert de Thorete, then Bishop of Liège, to the learned Dominican Hugh, later cardinal legate in the Netherlands, and to Jacques Pantaléon, at that time Archedeacon of Liège, afterwards Bishop of Verdun, Patriarch of Jerusalem and finally Pope Urban IV. 1, record 64, English, - Corpus%20Christi

Process prints are the opposite of manual prints. By definition this means they are not original prints. In process printing, the printing plate is not made by hand but mechanically(by process). Nearly all process prints you will come across involve the use of photography. These are called photomechanical prints. Photomechanical printing, which comes in a wide variety of forms, was designed for commercial mass production. The photomechanical processes reproduce images, for example, reproducing a painting for an art book, a photograph for a magazine or a cartoon for a newspaper. 2, record 71, English, - photomechanical%20printing

Advantages and disadvantages of certain materials. Whipcord is made for laborers, postmen, milkmen, and such and will not get wet with the first raindrops. Corduroy, on the other hand, soaks up moisture too easily and is not very durable. Wool will remain warm even when drenched and is the best answer for outdoor wear. You may consider lederhosen, leather pants imported from the Alps. The knicker length variety, though expensive, are a good investment because rocks will not tear them. Non-waterproof nylon wind pants are useful to wear over other trousers in windy, frigid areas and when climbing extensively above timberline. Wind pants should be loose-fitting and have a drawstring around the ankles to prevent wind from blowing up the legs. Rain pants in waterproof fabric are of some value in wet, brushy areas, but in general the lack of ventilation makes these pants unsatisfactory. A light pair of cotton pants may be used as extras for hot weather, but are no substitute for wool pants in cold weather. 7, record 72, English, - climbing%20pants

The Red River style of log building construction was one of the original methods used in Canada. The logs were left rounded with notched ends. This type of construction consisted of a basic frame of grooved, vertical, squared posts, mortised and tenoned into sills at their bases or set directly into the ground (in rare, early cases), and at their tips, mortised and tenoned into squared plates. Horizontal, squared timbers were fixed between these posts, with the tenons of the horizontal timbers fitting into the vertical groove of the posts. Roof structures of varying types were built on the wall plates. Red River Frame construction allowed both flexibility and portability. Large buildings could be erected using short logs, and buildings could be easily dismantled, moved and put up elsewhere. For these reasons, Red River Frame was the predominant type of construction used in the Canadian West during the fur trade era. The Red River style of log construction has spread across North America and is currently enjoying new popularity. Red River log construction is yet another Metis contribution to the development of Canada. 2, record 74, English, - Red%20River%20frame%20building

Our braided mohair tape is manufactured from the long silky hair of the Angora goat... Mohair fabrics are inherently cool to the touch, resistant to dust and moisture, and have a firm, lustrous hand. Durability in all conditions adds to the usefulness of this attractively ridged tape, which holds up well in the wash, with less "fuzzing out" than tapes made of sheep's wool. The braid structure contains straight warp threads for stability... and imparting the corduroy look... 1, record 79, English, - mohair%20braided%20tape

G. Cotter Enterprises, Inc. has made tremendous advancements toward a finely tuned microwelding process. Microwelding originated with the mold makers needs in mind. [Since it is an] ultra sensitive method of welding, this skill is now applied to medical parts, electronic components, sensitive finished machined surfaces, polished surfaces, and any surfaces that would not lend themselves to conventional welding. The science behind microwelding is due to the tighter control of the arc in close spaces. The less heat added to the part, the least amount of distortion will result. Minimal sink(sink marks on the material surface due to melting into the base metal) is maintained through this process. Ultimately, precision microwelds lead to less rework, which in turn assist in lower cost for machining. In fact, many microwelds can be finished by hand. 1, record 90, English, - microwelding

This shows the difference between a slow-release and a regular or quick-release nitrogen fertilizer. The slow-release fertilizer... is encapsulated. This coat may be made of elemental sulfur, plastic, or other materials. As microbes in the soil attack and create holes in the capsule, nitrogen fertilizer will slowly leak out. By varying the thickness of the capsule, manufacturers can control the rate of nitrogen release. On the other hand, a quick-release fertilizer granules is rapidly solubilized by soil moisture. All of the nitrogen is immediately available to the plant. 2, record 91, English, - quick%2Drelease%20fertilizer
