In Class 2 operation, hand-off is synchronous(the CFP transmits first in MUX2; there is no MUX 3). If a synchronous hand-off fails, the CPP tries to re-establish using MUX3. The message used to invoke a class 2 hand-off has the ability to specify more than the 40 basic traffic channels, and when sent by a CFP, has the ability to turn down the CPP's transmit power. 1, record 15, English, - class%202%20hand%2Doff

Receiving hoods are positioned to catch contaminants that are discharged from an operation in a predictable direction. Examples of receiving hoods include canopies located over a hot process in which hot exhaust fumes rise to the hood level by their own buoyancy, and hoods located adjacent to grinding wheels to catch the stream of dust generated by the spinning wheel. Receiving hoods may physically resemble capture hoods, but they differ with respect to the principle used for contaminant capture. Capture hoods operate at a higher flow rate to generate the air velocities necessary to capture contaminants from a source some distance from the hood opening. Receiving hoods, on the other hand, are positioned to catch the stream of contaminants delivered to them by forces intrinsic to the operation. 1, record 24, English, - capture%20hood

The CEL-414 is available to meet those requirements where a precision sound level meter is required. A large easy to read liquid crystal display enables the noise levels to be viewed and the slim light weight design will appeal to new and experienced users alike. The CEL-414 can be supplied in European format with the standard 1/2" microphone capsule CEL-192/2F. This is a free field microphone allowing measurements from 20 to 140 dB to be displayed to the relevant IEC requirements. The optional CEL-192/2R capsule is a random incidence microphone fulfilling the requirements of the ANSI specifications. The CEL-414 is available as an A version with the A and Lin frequency weightings or as a C version with the A and C frequency weightings where simple hand held operation is required. 2, record 29, English, - precision%20sound%20level%20meter

Record number: 38, Textual support number: 2 CONT
Receiving hoods are positioned to catch contaminants that are discharged from an operation in a predictable direction. Examples of receiving hoods include canopies located over a hot process in which hot exhaust fumes rise to the hood level by their own buoyancy, and hoods located adjacent to grinding wheels to catch the stream of dust generated by the spinning wheel. 1, record 38, English, - receiving%20hood
Record number: 38, Textual support number: 3 CONT
Receiving hoods are designed to exhaust air at the same rate as the airflow created by the process by which the contaminants are generated. If the receiving hood is not sized properly, problems such as overloading and spillage will result. 1, record 38, English, - receiving%20hood
Record number: 38, Textual support number: 1 OBS
Receiving hoods may physically resemble capture hoods, but they differ with respect to the principle used for contaminant capture. Capture hoods operate at a higher flow rate to generate the air velocities necessary to capture contaminants from a source some distance from the hood opening. Receiving hoods, on the other hand, are positioned to catch the stream of contaminants delivered to them by forces intrinsic to the operation. 1, record 38, English, - receiving%20hood

One important application of the vertical milling machine is that of die sinking. Dies used in drop forging and die casting have impressions or cavities cut in them by means of die sinking. Ovens can, of course, be hand loaded with pans or straps. This arduous task is accomplished by mechanical means in nearly all large volume shops, however. The principle of operation of loading devices is relatively simple. Pans move over roller conveyors form the final steam proofer to a point in front of the relatively oven loading door. Their momentum carries them onto a series of rollers at right angles to the previous conveyor and parallel to the oven door. When a series of pans the width of the tray or hearth has collected, they are pushed into the oven. A retractable metal bar prevents additional pans from coming onto the loading platform while the pusher bar is operating. 1, record 45, English, - loading%20device
