A bodybuilding exercise performed by completing the following movements :stand with your feet about a shoulder-width apart and hold a dumbbell in each hand with a pronated grip(palms towards you), letting each arm hang down at your side, the dumbbells resting on your thighs and your thumbs facing each other. Keeping your arms straight, raise the dumbbells in front of you to a height just above the shoulders. Return to the starting position.

OBS

This exercise targets the deltoids. It can be done with a barbell or one or two dumbbells, with both hands or one at a time.

How to perform the Smith machine deadlift. First, set up the Smith bar on the floor with the desired weight you want to lift. Walk up to the bar so that your shins are directly against the Smith bar. Squat down towards the bar until your upper thigh is parallel to the floor. Next, grab the bar with a mixed grip with one hand overhand and one hand underhand. Now, drive your hips upward by contracting your quads and glutes. You are attempting to bring the weight upwards as you stand up. As the bar is being lifted off of the floor, begin to straighten your back up so that it is fully erect. This will utilize the muscles in the back. Once your have reached full standing position, slowly lower the weight back toward the floor.

Add about 5 drops of crystal violet stain over the fixed culture. Let stand for 60 seconds. Note that a clothes pin is used to hold the slide during the staining procedure to avoid staining one's hand. In doing the cartwheel it’s important to think of it as a sideways rather than a forward movement. It is helpful to think of yourself as a wheel with the arms and legs as the spokes.
