Tracheoesophageal fistulas, which are created by a puncture technique and maintained by a plastic prosthesis, are useful in the restoration of speech after a total laryngectomy. On the other hand, I have not found total laryngectomy with tracheoesophageal puncture to be an acceptable substitute for near-total laryngectomy if the patients’ cancer did not actually require a total laryngectomy... Furthermore, puncture methods direct the bolus of pulmonary air into the esophagus. Sometimes this induces a cricopharyngeal spasm, which must be corrected before the air can be brought up into the pharynx as sound... Skimboarding(or skimming) is a sport which involves riding a board on an outgoing wave.... Unlike surfing, skimboarding starts on the beach. The skimboarder stands within running distance from the point of entry into the water with the skimboard in hand and waits for a wave. As the desired wave approaches, the skimboarder runs towards the water. Depending on conditions, the board is dropped on a thin layer of water from a receding wave or on the thicker water in front of the wave. Then he or she runs onto the board one foot at a time using a technique known as the "One-Step" while properly positioning the feet and maintaining balance towards the centre of the board. 4, record 13, English, - skimboarding

The ceinture fléchée, or arrowhead sash, was one of the famous badges of the voyageur. The ceinture fléchée had many uses. It was used for warmth, as a tump line and a support on the portage, as an emergency rope, and as a mark of distinction and origin. When tightly woven and treated with beeswax, it could even be used as a cup. Originally, ceintures fléchées were woven by hand using a technique called "finger weaving". Later, sashes, were machine loomed in England for the Canadian mass market. The term "fléchée" refers specifically to the original arrowhead design, but there were many other patterns. The chevron, the "flammes"(flames), the "éclairs"(ligtening bolts), the "W"(double chevron), and the "tête de flèche"(large two-tone arrowhead) were also used. Colors and patterns were distinctive of various regions. Probably the most famous of all sashes were those from the Assomption area of Lower Canada, which had multiple multi-colored lightning-bolts(éclairs) flanking a central red core. 1, record 17, English, - arrowhead%20sash
