This sporting and cultural event takes place every 3 years and is hosted in the central Labrador town of Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Contests will be held in "traditional" skill testing events such as target shooting, dog sled racing, snowmobile racing, cross country skiing, snowshoe races, northern triathlon, snowshoe biathlon and the labrathon(a test of the skill a trapper would need to survive on The Big Land). As well, more commonly known events such as ball hockey, volleyball, darts, badminton and table tennis will take place.
