The Harassment and Abuse in Sport Collective represents 40 National Sport Organizations and governments, including the Canadian Hockey Association(CHA), the Coaching Association of Canada(CAC), the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport(CCES), and the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity(CAAWS). The Collective was formed in January of 1997 under the leadership of the Canadian Association for The Advancement of Women and Sport and Physical Activity, the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport and Sport Canada to confront the issues of harassment and abuse in sport and physical activity.
