Kidney stones are hard, pebble-like pieces of material that form in one or both of your kidneys when high levels of certain minerals are in your urine.... Kidney stones vary in size and shape. They may be as small as a grain of sand or as large as a pea. Rarely, some kidney stones are as big as golf balls. Kidney stones may be smooth or jagged and are usually yellow or brown. A small kidney stone may pass through your urinary tract on its own, causing little or no pain. A larger kidney stone may get stuck along the way. A kidney stone that gets stuck can block your flow of urine, causing severe pain or bleeding.

Concrete technology was kept alive during the Middle Ages in Spain and Africa, with the Spanish introducing a form of concrete to the New World in the first decades of the 16th century. It was used by both the Spanish and English in coastal areas stretching from Florida to South Carolina. Called "tapia," or "tabby," the substance was a creamy white, monolithic masonry material composed of lime, sand, and an aggregate of shells, gravel, or stone mixed with water. This mass of material was placed between wooden forms tamped, and allowed to dry, the building arising in layers, about one foot at a time.

The laser-engraved anilox roll, introduced about 20 years ago, consists of a plasma-sprayed ceramic coating(typically chromium oxide) that is ground and honed to a very smooth finish(in the neighborhood of 5 RMS). The ceramic coating is extremely hard, with a micro-hardness of 1150 to 1300 Vickers.(For comparison, the hardness of chrome plating is around 850 to 950 Vickers.) The only way to produce cells in this material is to engrave it with a laser.

Mechanical street sweepers are the "heavy duty" machines of the industry; having the capability to move the most material in the least amount of time. This general class of street sweeper utilize a system of brooms and either a "squeegee" or belt conveyor to move debris from the ground into a hopper contained within the street sweeper. If a No. 6 buckwheat sieve or a No. 316 slotted sieve is used for special cleaning, the material removed may be assessed as dockage(see "Special cleaning" in the dockage assessment sections for each grain in this Guide). Grade tolerances established in this Guide are for material classed as stones which is not separable. Tolerances are normally expressed in number of stones per 500 grams. When this is not practical, stones are expressed as a percentage by weight.

Landscape maintenance refers to the general upkeep of exterior site spaces, including both hard and plant materials. The initial maintenance program on a site is the contractor's responsibility.
