The acquisition of a vacuum plasma spray forming system for mechanical and industrial engineering.... The project objective was to procure engineering services for the fabrication of a vacuum plasma spray forming system used as a research tool in spray coating research. Plasma spraying has the advantage of spraying materials with a very high melting point, such as refractory metals like tungsten, molybdenum and ceramics like zirconia. VPSF process enables the manufacture of parts from hard to machine materials such as ceramics, carbides, super alloys, etc. Very often, the VPSF is the only process for production of complex shape parts(such as rocket nozzles) from hard and brittle materials. 2, record 35, English, - vacuum%20plasma%20spray%20forming

2, record 35, French, - formage%20par%20projection%20plasma%20sous%20vide

A new process, "abrasive waterjet cutting", was created by the introduction of abrasive particles into the waterjet, greatly increasing capabilities. The addition of abrasives to the waterjet stream expands cutting capability to almost any material known to man and makes it one of the most versatile tools in use today.... Abrasive waterjet is rapidly finding use in cutting hard, dense material such as glass, composites, metals, and fired ceramics. These materials are difficult to cut by older, conventional processes because they tend to fray, crack, splinter, shatter, or show heat effects. 1, record 43, English, - abrasive%20waterjet%20cutting

The selection of an appropriate repository will depend primarily on local geological, hydrological, topographic and climatic conditions at the site. In general above-ground structures will be preferred where there is groundwater close to the earth surface or where excavation of pits or trenches would be difficult owing to hard bedrock close to the surface. On the other hand, in terrains with favourable properties, preference should be given to subsurface modules because of better shielding, easier handling during emplacement, simpler backfilling and covering with earth materials, and reduced potential for erosion. 5, record 44, English, - repository

3, record 50, French, - mat%C3%A9riau%20intelligent

Landscape maintenance refers to the general upkeep of exterior site spaces, including both hard and plant materials. The initial maintenance program on a site is the contractor's responsibility. A maintenance agreement for the period of construction and after is usually included in the tender documents as part of the landscape contract. It continues usually for four to six weeks after the project is finished and includes a one-year replacement guarantee for plant material.
